Han Ziyan felt terrible. She had once thought that she would be able to live a life much more comfortable and richer than Han Ruochen, where the woman would have no other choice but to bow her head down in front of her. When Meng Yunhan saw that Han Ziyan was looking at her with confusion in her eyes, she told her about Zhai Muchen’s visit and the small banquet that Han Ruochen had held in the afternoon.

Han Ziyan gritted her teeth when she heard that Zhai Muchen had come to attend the banquet. She recalled the conversation between her mother and father and realised what was going on. No wonder her mother was so angry. Han Ruochen really did not know how to make use of her connections. She could easily help her and her mother, but she did not even mention the troubles of their family in front of the Zhai family.

If she had spoken up, would the Zhai family have been so rude that they would have ignored her plight? If Han Ruochen had asked for help, would they have refused? Of course not!
