"My sister’s dowry was stolen; of course, this matter needs to be reported to the police!" Han Ruochen showed a tough attitude from the start, as she did not want the Qiao family to think that they were easy to bully. How could such a matter be reported to the police? She turned to look at Han Xuehan, realising that Han Ruochen was not as easy to coax as her. She smiled at the woman flatteringly, and for the first time in her life, she used a rather sweet tone with Han Xuehan. "Xuehan, Xuehan, tell your sister the truth. Tell her that you gave those things to your sister-in-law willingly."

Now she could only rely on Han Xuehan. She hoped that the woman would take the blame on her head so that she wouldn’t be dragged into a mess by her. If Han Xuehan agreed that she was the one who gave the dowry away, then even if Han Ruochen wanted to make a fuss, there was nothing that she could do about it.
