Little Ape’s aura surged explosively. At this point, it had completely surpassed the realm of a Tier Two Demon Beast and reached the level of a Tier Three Demon Beast.

The dense Evil Qi drove away any Demon Beast within a hundred-mile radius, none daring to linger. The might of Little Ape’s breakthrough was every bit as impressive as Lin Yun’s had been.

"Did the breakthrough succeed?" the Firebird said in shock, watching Little Ape from a distance.

Little Ape’s breakthrough was countless times more powerful than its own had been when it became a Tier Three Demon Beast. Watching Little Ape roar madly, the Firebird was utterly astonished.

Hearing the Firebird’s words, Lin Yun didn’t answer. His eyes simply stared blankly at the sky above Little Ape’s head.

After a long moment, Lin Yun’s expression grew heavy. He muttered to himself, ’It’s not over. Something far more terrifying is still to come.’

"Something more terrifying?" the Firebird asked in confusion.

However, just as the words left its beak, a fissure appeared in the sky above Little Ape, as if the heavens themselves were being torn asunder. From this celestial rift, an unstoppable Celestial Might radiated outwards.

"Celestial Punishment..." the Firebird uttered in disbelief, staring blankly at the fissure above Little Ape’s head.

It was a Tier Four Demon Beast and had experienced Celestial Punishment during its own breakthrough. But Celestial Punishment was only supposed to appear when a cultivator at the Primordial Ocean Realm broke through to the Celestial Spirit Realm. In terms of Demon Beast ranks, that meant it should only happen when a Tier Three Demon Beast was breaking through to Tier Four.

The Firebird had never seen a Demon Beast trigger a Celestial Punishment when breaking through from Tier Two to Tier Three. Of course, if it knew that Lin Yun had already experienced Celestial Punishment back in the Qi Sea Realm, it would have to completely re-evaluate both him and Little Ape.

"Fall back!" Lin Yun shouted, leading the Firebird back another dozen miles.

Little Ape’s Celestial Punishment was gradually taking shape. Lin Yun remained relatively calm; after all, he had inexplicably gone through his own Celestial Punishment back in the Qi Sea Realm. Seeing Little Ape face one at Tier Three was something Lin Yun could accept.

"We can’t help it. It has to face the Celestial Punishment on its own," Lin Yun said flatly, his eyes fixed on Little Ape. ’To be honest, I never expected Little Ape’s breakthrough to attract a Celestial Punishment. But now that it’s here, everything depends on Little Ape.’

’Little Ape, you have to hold on,’ Lin Yun muttered, looking in its direction.

Having retreated for dozens of miles, Lin Yun and the Firebird were now a great distance from Little Ape, yet they could still clearly feel the Celestial Might pouring from the fissure in the sky, growing ever more concentrated.

Directly facing the Celestial Might, Little Ape recalled witnessing the might of Lin Yun’s own tribulation, but observing and experiencing it firsthand were two entirely different matters.

At that moment, the Celestial Punishment brewing above Little Ape’s head felt like the scythe of the Death God, locking onto it immovably. It was a feeling that no matter where you fled, even to the ends of the earth, you could not escape the heavens’ wrath.

ROOOOAR! Letting out a great howl to the sky, Little Ape’s body grew explosively once more, reaching a towering height of fifteen meters.

Pounding its chest with both fists, Little Ape threw its head back, its scarlet eyes locked on the fissure in the sky.

Little Ape’s furious roar echoed throughout Demon Beast Ridge. At the same time, the oppressive might of the Celestial Punishment sent every Demon Beast in the ridge trembling in fear.

The Tier Three Demon Beasts went without saying, but even the Tier Four Demon Beasts, like the Firebirds, took to the skies. They cast reverent glances at the fissure before flying far into the distance.

Amidst Little Ape’s furious roars, the Celestial Punishment finally descended. A thick bolt of Celestial Thunder shot down from the fissure, striking straight for Little Ape’s head.

Facing the Celestial Punishment, Little Ape let out a tremendous roar and stomped its thick legs hard onto the ground. The earth beneath its feet cracked and split, a web of fissures spreading outwards.

Bracing its stance, Little Ape reached up with both hands to catch the descending Celestial Thunder. With a deafening BOOM, its palms collided head-on with the lightning.

The power of the Celestial Thunder was immense. Little Ape met it head-on and, for a moment, was able to resist. However, within a few breaths, the Celestial Thunder had completely engulfed it.

The pale purple Celestial Thunder swallowed Little Ape whole. Caught within the lightning, Little Ape struggled desperately. Its blood-red fur was scorched black, and it coughed up several mouthfuls of fresh blood.

Lin Yun, watching from the sidelines, remained outwardly calm, but his heart was wracked with anxiety.

That single bolt of Celestial Thunder had completely razed the area for dozens of miles around Little Ape. Trees, earth, flowers, and grass were all scorched to cinders. The once-yellow soil was now a blackened wasteland.

As the first bolt of Celestial Thunder faded, Little Ape’s figure reappeared. It was a miserable sight. Its fur was completely scorched black, blood trickled from the corner of its mouth, and numerous wounds across its body gushed fresh blood.

"Stay here. Don’t move or get any closer," Lin Yun said to the Firebird before quickly rushing toward Little Ape.

"What are you doing?" the Firebird shouted at his retreating back.

Ignoring the Firebird, Lin Yun rushed to within a thousand meters of Little Ape and shouted, "Little Ape!"

Hearing the shout, Little Ape turned to see Lin Yun rushing toward it. At that moment, Lin Yun tossed the Spring Breeze Soft Rain Pill he had prepared.

Having done this, Lin Yun turned and fled. ’If I stay within the range of the Celestial Punishment, I’ll be caught in it too.’

He had only entered the danger zone to give Little Ape the Spring Breeze Soft Rain Pill. The first bolt of Celestial Thunder alone had injured it so severely; without the help of a Healing Elixir, Little Ape would have a hard time surviving the second.

Just as Lin Yun had fled for dozens of miles, the second bolt of Celestial Thunder arrived on schedule, striking ruthlessly down at Little Ape.

This second bolt of Celestial Thunder was much more powerful than the first. Fortunately, Lin Yun had delivered the Spring Breeze Soft Rain Pill in time. Thanks to its potent effects, Little Ape’s injuries had already recovered significantly.

BOOM! The Celestial Thunder struck Little Ape once again. This time, the Celestial Punishment blasted a massive crater into the already-scorched earth—a crater dozens of meters deep, with Little Ape right at its center.

Sprinting all the way, Lin Yun returned to where the Firebird was waiting. Gazing at the incomparably powerful Celestial Punishment, he pleaded in his heart, ’Little Ape, you have to survive this.’
