"Bro, that new kid is way too arrogant. I have to teach him a lesson."

Hearing his younger brother’s words, Fatty Kong didn’t hesitate. He was used to cleaning up his brother’s messes. Besides, no one in the Flawless Palace would care about a servant disciple. A few of them dying was of no consequence.

"Just be careful. Don’t stir up any major trouble. I’ll assign him to your group this afternoon." With this reminder to Young Master Kong, Fatty Kong had already agreed.

Hearing his brother’s reply, Young Master Kong let out a sinister chuckle. "Don’t worry, Bro. It’s not like this is my first time."

The two brothers exchanged a knowing smile. Fatty Kong truly doted on his younger brother. The two of them were orphans from a village not far from the Flawless Palace.

Fatty Kong had been the first to enter the Flawless Palace as a servant disciple. After years of struggle, he finally became a One-Star Steward. Later, when his younger brother, Young Master Kong, entered the Flawless Palace, Fatty Kong catered to his every whim.

It was because of Fatty Kong’s constant indulgence that Young Master Kong grew more and more tyrannical in the servant disciple area. At first, he had only dared to bully the newcomers. But as he grew bolder, it was no longer rare for him to be responsible for the deaths of new servant disciples.

The morning’s work was complete. The servant disciples who had eaten breakfast rested for an hour, after which Fatty Kong once again began assigning the afternoon’s tasks.

They arrived at one of the Flawless Palace’s dedicated unloading docks. An entire shipload of goods needed to be moved by the ten of them onto the adjacent horse-drawn carts, which would then transport the goods to the warehouses.

Arriving at the dock, Lin Yun gazed at the mountain of goods. ’The Flawless Palace is truly a money-burning machine,’ he thought. ’Setting aside Cultivation Resources, the cost of daily necessities alone must be an astronomical sum.’

"Kid, what are you standing around gawking for? Get moving! If we don’t finish today, you’ll have hell to pay," Young Master Kong and his eight cronies shouted at Lin Yun, showing no intention of lifting a finger themselves.

Hearing this, Lin Yun turned to look at them, a cold glint flashing in his eyes. In an icy tone, he asked, "By myself?"

"Obviously! If you don’t move it alone, you expect us to help? Are you stupid or something?" Young Master Kong retorted.

"Haha, this kid is so naive. Don’t the new guys always have to do more work? Let me tell you, if you don’t follow the rules here, the consequences will be severe."

"Why waste your breath on him? Get moving! Or do we have to make you?"

The nine of them continued to yell at Lin Yun. These guys couldn’t see through Lin Yun’s true strength at all. In their eyes, how high could the Cultivation of a new servant disciple possibly be? Anyone strong enough to take down several of them at once would have already become an Outer Disciple, not ended up here with the servant disciples.

"Rules? Are you the ones who set the rules around here?" Lin Yun’s gaze grew colder and colder.

Although Young Master Kong and his friends were servant disciples, the lowest-ranking people in the Flawless Palace, compared to outsiders, they were still, at the end of the day, people of the Flawless Palace.

It was better to not get involved. The boatmen naturally weren’t going to offend a Disciple of the Flawless Palace, even a servant disciple.

Lin Yun looked at Young Master Kong and his eight followers, a raging fire burning in his heart. All this time, Lin Yun had believed that Luo Feng had made him start as a servant disciple to temper himself. However, Lin Yun suddenly realized this wasn’t tempering at all.

These guys had no real strength, no Cultivation to speak of, yet they dared to act so high and mighty in front of him. When had Lin Yun ever been forced to put up with such disrespect?
