The Monk and Daoist had already made up their minds. The moment the Heaven-Swallowing Python attacked, they would flee and leave Lin Yun behind to hold it back.

"I’ll eat you all today," the Heaven-Swallowing Python snarled.

Hearing this, the Monk and Daoist prepared to flee. But just then, the Little Ape, which had been clinging to the Daoist’s back, stealthily fired the Forbidden Artifact Lin Yun had given it.

From the Heaven-Swallowing Python’s perspective, it looked as if the Daoist had been the one to fire the Forbidden Artifact.

However, the Heaven-Swallowing Python was completely unmoved by their desperate pleas. It opened its cavernous, bloody maw and lunged toward the Monk and Daoist.

"Dammit! You stupid snake, you don’t even know who attacked you! This is really pissing me off!"

"Lin Yun, you despicable villain, screwing over men of the cloth again and again!"

The two of them yelled as they began to flee. Now the Ghost Fruit was completely out of the question. It was uncertain if they could even keep their own lives.

Running as if their feet had grown wings, the Monk and Daoist fled for their lives. Behind them, the hundred-meter-long Heaven-Swallowing Python was in hot pursuit, giving off an air that it wouldn’t rest until it had devoured them both.

"Stupid snake, stop chasing us! Can’t you tell the good guys from the bad? I’m a monk! Why would I ever attack you?"

"That’s right! I am a Daoist who strictly abides by the precepts. I would never do anything so nefarious! Stop chasing us!"

"You two silver-tongued humans. I will definitely eat you today." The Heaven-Swallowing Python completely ignored their shouts, snorted coldly, and spat out a cloud of black mist from its mouth.

The black mist contained a potent corrosive power. Inside the mist, a Martial Artist had to protect their entire body with Elemental Power. Weaker Martial Artists wouldn’t be able to last long at all.

"Damn it, how is this black mist so powerful? My Elemental Power is almost depleted!" In just a hundred breaths’ time, the Monk and Daoist were already struggling to resist the corrosion of the black mist as their Elemental Power was rapidly consumed.

Without a second thought, the Monk and Daoist began to swallow Qi Essence Pills, simultaneously tossing various Healing Elixirs into their mouths.

They ran for their lives, eventually fleeing out of the Heaven-Swallowing Python’s territory. And yet, the python still hadn’t given up, remaining hot on their trail.

"This stupid snake! How can it be so dumb? I really want to just slap it to death," the Monk fumed.

"Stop talking and just run!"

Along the way, the Monk and Daoist had been caught by the Heaven-Swallowing Python’s attacks several times. Though they hadn’t died, they were in terrible shape, with several broken bones.

They had originally planned to sell out Lin Yun, but in the end, they were the ones who got sold out. Bitterness, anger, and fear churned inside them. The duo no longer had the energy to curse anyone. All they could do was run for their lives; getting caught meant certain death.

After successfully luring away the Heaven-Swallowing Python, Lin Yun smiled faintly. ’Trying to scheme against me? You two monks need to learn your place. I knew what you were planning from a mile away. You really thought you could sell me out?’

With that, Lin Yun began to search for the Ghost Fruit and the Qing Zhu family’s Supreme Treasure.

And sure enough, the Heaven-Swallowing Python’s territory was teeming with Spirit Grass and Spirit Fruit. In a short amount of time, Lin Yun had already harvested five stalks of Earth Level Five-Stars Spirit Grass, three stalks of Earth Level Six-Stars Spirit Grass, and even one stalk of Earth Level Seven-Stars Spirit Grass.

It seemed that because of the Heaven-Swallowing Python, almost no one had ever come here, resulting in an abundance of Spirit Grass.
