The commotion from Lin Yun’s breakthrough was immense, and everyone nearby could feel it. Many had already rushed out of their own caves, gathering before Lin Yun’s to watch with a mixture of terror and curiosity.

They wanted to see what kind of monster could possibly break through in a place like Celestial Net Peak, where Elemental Power was so scarce.

This lasted for half an hour before the violent aura around Lin Yun finally began to subside. Only then did it mean his breakthrough was complete; he had successfully entered the Seventh Layer of Opening Realm.

"Whew, I finally broke through." Letting out a breath of turbid air, a smile instantly appeared on Lin Yun’s face.

With his breakthrough, the impurities within his body were once again expelled. A foul stench immediately permeated the air. Smelling the horrid odor on himself, Lin Yun got up and headed outside, needing to find some water to wash up.

The moment he stepped out of the cave, Lin Yun found that a crowd had gathered. He frowned, then smiled a bit bashfully. "Haha, everyone’s here. What’s all this about?"

The crowd stared at the young man before them, their eyes wide. They were so shocked that they completely ignored the stench coming from him. A wave of disbelief washed over them.

"You broke through?" After a long moment, a student at the Eighth Layer of Opening Realm asked.

Hearing this, Lin Yun scratched his head sheepishly. "Just a lucky break, that’s all. But hey, could you let me go take a wash first?"

Lin Yun’s reminder made everyone finally notice the terrible smell. The stench was actually normal, as it happened to everyone after a breakthrough.

"I’ll take you," a student offered, stepping forward and speaking to Lin Yun with a hint of deference.

Lin Yun then followed the student to a nearby pool. It was an artificial pool, carved out and fed by an underground spring, and it was where many of the students here came to bathe.

After a refreshing bath, Lin Yun took advantage of the privacy to retrieve a clean set of clothes from his Space Ring and change into them. He felt completely revitalized.

When he returned to his cave, Lin Yun saw that the crowd hadn’t dispersed. In fact, it had grown—nearly twenty students were now gathered at his entrance.

Seeing him approach, the crowd instinctively parted to let him through. Lin Yun could see the astonishment in their eyes and knew why they were there, but he was still a little unsettled by the crowd blocking his home.

"Please, everyone, disperse. It was just a lucky breakthrough, nothing special," Lin Yun said with a smile.

With that, he paid them no more mind and went straight into his cave. ’Looks like today’s breakthrough caused quite a stir,’ he thought. ’Is it possible that no one has ever managed to break through here in all these years?’

Now that he had successfully broken through to the Seventh Layer of Opening Realm, Lin Yun’s power had grown significantly. ’If I faced Tang Wushuang now,’ Lin Yun mused, ’I could probably beat him to a pulp, right?’

Just as he was thinking this, a loud shout suddenly erupted from outside his cave.

"Hey, kid! Get your ass out here! Our boss wants to see you."

The voice dripped with contempt. Lin Yun’s good mood instantly vanished, his expression souring. ’Who is this? What’s all this nonsense about a boss?’

He didn’t let it bother him too much. This was Celestial Net Peak, after all. No one here had surpassed the Opening Realm. And with his current Combat Power, Lin Yun was practically invincible within the Opening Realm—unless he encountered a true Demon Fiend.

He strolled leisurely out of his cave. This time, the atmosphere was palpably tense. A trio of young men stood at his entrance, while everyone else had backed away to a safe distance.

Looking them straight in the eye, Lin Yun asked with a wry smile, "Isn’t it a bit rude to stand at my doorstep shouting your heads off?"

Lin Yun’s words were polite enough. But one of the three, a scrawny-looking guy, immediately shot back, "Polite? Who the fuck cares about polite? Listen up! If you know what’s good for you, you’ll tell our boss how you managed to break through. Otherwise, we’re gonna beat you ’til you’re picking your teeth up off the floor!"

Hearing that, it dawned on Lin Yun. ’Ah, so they think I have some secret method for breaking through on Celestial Net Peak.’

"You want to know? Come here, I’ll tell you." The smile on his face grew more mischievous as he crooked a finger at the guy, beckoning him closer.

"About time you wised up, kid," the guy grumbled, swaggering toward Lin Yun completely unguarded. Judging by his demeanor, he was clearly used to being the local hegemon.

"I’ll tell you. The secret to my breakthrough is..." Lin Yun said with a smile. But halfway through his sentence, his hand suddenly shot out. The crisp sound of a slap stunned everyone into silence. No one had expected Lin Yun to strike so suddenly, and with such a violent, direct slap to the face.

"So, do you know how I broke through now?" Lin Yun asked with a grin, looking at the scrawny student who now had a bright red handprint on his cheek.

At these words, the guy flew into a rage. The three of them had been on Celestial Net Peak for five or six years, and they had always been the local tyrants. This was not just because of their long tenure, but because all three of them were at the Ninth Layer of Opening Realm. Within the Opening Realm, very few could defeat them—at least, they had never met anyone who could.

"You’re courting death, kid!" With a furious roar, the scrawny student charged at Lin Yun, the Elemental Power of the Ninth Layer of Opening Realm erupting violently from his body.

"Die!" he bellowed, throwing a punch directly at Lin Yun. But by the time his fist landed, Lin Yun’s figure had already vanished.

Just as the scrawny student was wondering what had happened, he felt a light tap on his shoulder. He whipped his head around and was shocked to see Lin Yun standing right behind him.

"Looks like you *really* want to know how I broke through," Lin Yun said with a smile. "I’ll tell you one more time. Make sure you listen carefully."

Immediately followed by another sharp SMACK. Lin Yun’s hand had once again connected with the scrawny student’s face.

"Damn you! I’m going to kill you!" the scrawny student raged.

What followed was a scene that left the onlookers speechless. The scrawny student was a known tyrant here. That was a given, as his strength was formidable and his Cultivation was at the Ninth Layer of Opening Realm.

Yet this very same person was nothing more than a helpless punching bag in front of Lin Yun.

The scrawny student’s attacks couldn’t touch Lin Yun in the slightest. Lin Yun, on the other hand, would appear bizarrely behind or in front of him, and the sound of SMACK! SMACK! SMACK! echoed continuously.

Soon, the scrawny student’s face was swollen like a pig’s head, and Lin Yun had knocked out more than a dozen of his teeth.

"Quickly, now! Go find your teeth. Weren’t you the one who was just talking about picking teeth up off the floor?" Lin Yun taunted, looking down at the miserable figure.

Hearing this, the onlookers were completely speechless. ’This guy is just too much,’ they thought.

As for the scrawny student with the pig-head-like face, he was so enraged by Lin Yun’s words that he spat out a mouthful of blood.
