Lin Yun charged out of the Capital City and headed straight for the Yanhuang Mountain Range. A moment ago, he had suddenly sensed a telepathic message from the Black-striped Tiger. Ever since learning from Lin Xiaotian that the tiger hadn’t been captured by the Royal Family, Lin Yun had been secretly trying to sense its presence.

The Black-striped Tiger was overjoyed to see Lin Yun and Little Ape, incessantly rubbing its head against him. Little Ape leaped directly onto the tiger’s head, patting it with its small paws.

Seeing that the Black-striped Tiger was unharmed, Lin Yun could finally relax. Through the tiger’s telepathic communication, Lin Yun learned that when Lin Xiaotian had discovered the Royal Family was sending men to capture him, his father had told the Black-striped Tiger to flee ahead of time.

Having escaped capture by the Royal Family’s experts, the Black-striped Tiger had followed them all the way to the Capital City. Upon arriving at the entrance of the Celestial Star Tower, Lin Yun saw Lu Tao and the others waiting for him in the distance.

Walking up to the group, Lin Yun smiled. "Let’s go, what are you all standing around for? Tonight, no one’s going home sober!"

Hearing this, Lu Tao was the first to speak. "Brother-in-law, you really kept us in the dark."

In response, Lin Yun just smiled and led the way into the Celestial Star Tower. As the finest restaurant in the Capital City, its decor was the height of luxury. Rumor had it that the true owner of the Celestial Star Tower was none other than the Royal Family.

Lin Yun was now a celebrity in the Capital City, and many recognized him as he stepped into the Celestial Star Tower. The moment he entered, the Shopkeeper hurried over to greet him, his face plastered with a wide smile.

"Young Master Lin, you’ve arrived! The private room is all prepared. Allow me to show you up."

With a slight nod, Lin Yun and his friends followed the Shopkeeper to the top floor of the six-story Celestial Star Tower. The top floor had only a single private room, one that was rumored to be reserved for only the most distinguished guests.

The fact that the Shopkeeper led them directly to the Sixth Layer was a testament to Lin Yun’s current status in the Capital City. He had slaughtered over half the Forbidden Guard Army, yet the Royal Family was powerless to do anything about it. In the eyes of the city’s major families, Lin Yun was an existence one must never provoke.

"Bring us all of your house specialties, and a few jugs of your finest wine," Lin Yun said to the Shopkeeper once everyone was seated.

"Yes, sir! I’ll give the order at once. Please wait just a moment, Young Master Lin," the Shopkeeper replied respectfully before exiting the room.

After the Shopkeeper had withdrawn, Lin Yun turned his attention to Wangcai, Li Ji, and Chen Xin. There was a palpable tension in the way the three of them faced him now; after all, he was someone even the Royal Family dared not offend.

Noticing the change in their demeanor, Lin Yun smiled faintly and said simply, "No matter what happens in the future, we’ll always be friends."

Hearing these words, Wangcai and the other two finally broke into smiles. Lin Yun hadn’t changed. They were still friends.

Now more relaxed, the three of them turned their gazes to Lu Bingning and Lan Xi, who were seated beside Lin Yun. Both were undeniable beauties. Though they still had an air of youthful innocence, their beauty was impossible to conceal.

Wangcai and Li Ji marveled internally. It felt perfectly natural to them; ’Only women like these are worthy of a man like Lin Yun.’

Unlike the two men, Chen Xin felt a pang of disappointment. Compared to Lu Bingning and Lan Xi, she knew she paled in comparison.

However, Chen Xin quickly made her peace with it. She had known for a long time that nothing could ever happen between her and Lin Yun, and she had long since come to accept it.

"Come, let’s toast." Lin Yun was the first to raise his cup. "I’m mainly here today to say my farewells. I’ll be leaving Yanhuang Country soon, and I don’t know when we’ll see each other again. But no matter what, we will always be friends."

At his words, everyone raised their cups. They had all suspected that Lin Yun would be leaving. Their cups clinked together, and in one motion, they all drained their wine.
