Amidst a flurry of afterimages, Lin Yun returned to his original position. The seven or eight Wind Forest Sect disciples who had been alive just moments before exploded one after another, each becoming a headless corpse.

’Dead? All of them are dead?’ Even now, the members of the Third Elder’s faction couldn’t believe their eyes. They never imagined this unassuming young man would actually dare to slaughter Wind Forest Sect disciples in public, leaving none alive.

"Too noisy," Lin Yun whispered. His figure blurred. Just like before, by the time he returned to his original spot, only one disciple from the Third Elder’s faction remained alive. Lin Yun had killed all the others.

"Young Master Lin, have you gone mad? Are you trying to take on the entire Wind Forest Sect?" The Monk and Daoist didn’t know what had gotten into him. Since arriving in the Nan Feng Kingdom, he had become a completely different person.

If Lin Yun had been a dormant dragon in Yanhuang Country, then in the Nan Feng Kingdom, he had cast off all his shackles and become utterly without restraint.

In a matter of moments, he had killed more than a dozen Wind Forest Sect disciples. Only one remained alive, and that was, of course, by Lin Yun’s design.

Word of the massacre quickly reached the soldiers of Chiyang Pass. Before long, several hundred of them had surrounded Lin Yun’s group.

"That’s not a bad idea," Lin Yun replied with a smile, much to their surprise. He didn’t seem the least bit concerned about his predicament.

"I’ll give you three breaths," he announced indifferently to the soldiers. "I am only here to kill members of the Wind Forest Sect. Anyone not involved should step aside. Otherwise, don’t blame me for what happens next."

Hearing this, one of the commanders shouted, "Who is this insolent peasant? Daring to kill Wind Forest Sect disciples? Are you tired of living?"

This commander’s Cultivation was at the Ninth Layer of Qi Sea Realm. He had once been a Disciple of the Wind Forest Sect, but having grown too old with no hope of breaking through to the Primordial Ocean Realm, the sect had assigned him to the army of the Nan Feng Kingdom.

"In that case, don’t blame me," Lin Yun said softly, and took the initiative, lunging toward the commander.

But how could an ordinary cultivator at the Ninth Layer of Qi Sea be a match for Lin Yun? He couldn’t even see Lin Yun’s movements clearly before he found himself seized by the throat and lifted off the ground.

His feet dangled above the ground, his throat caught in Lin Yun’s iron grip. Lin Yun held him as easily as one might hold a rabbit. With the slightest twitch of his fingers, he could sever the commander’s head from his body.

Lin Yun was no homicidal maniac; he had no desire to harm anyone unaffiliated with the Wind Forest Sect. After neutralizing the commander in a single move, his gaze swept across the other soldiers.
