"Phew... I really thought I was going to die here alone," Hannah smiled, letting out a long-held breath.
Adrian got a good look at her. She was quite short, not more than 150 cm, and even her hair was short. Unlike them, she was wearing camo shorts and a black bikini.
"Ahem," Adrian cleared his throat, pointing at her hand.
She hadn’t let go of his hand for a while, and he was getting weirded out by her. Hannah blinked and finally realized she was still tightly holding his hand. She quickly let go, cheeks turning slightly pink.
"Sorry..." she mumbled.
She wanted to look away when her eyes fell on the two-handed axe resting on Adrian’s shoulder, and her eyes widened in shock.
"You... you’re actually using it?" she stammered, pointing at the weapon. "That thing had such a ridiculous strength requirement! No one could possibly use it so... no! Could you tell me how did you get so strong!?
Adrian felt like a headache coming. He didn’t think the girl would be such a chatterbox, especially since she had been so scared of the boars. The boars were still alive, and yet Hannah seemed to have forgotten about them.
Meanwhile, Sera, seeing Adrian’s expression, stepped in.
"I’m Sera," she said politely. "I’m the one who bought the weapon from you for Master—"
"Holy! You’re the dual-class player!" Hannah shrieked, acting like a fangirl. "And you’re a servant of his like me!? Holy! Holy! Holy!"
Perhaps the shock of finding even the famous dual-class player to be someone’s servant was too much for her. She couldn’t even fathom how strong Adrian was to have Sera as her servant.
Not just that, she saw the strong tribal woman behind him too. Suddenly, Sera felt like the stick had made the right choice for her.
Before sending Sera a text for help, the alliance had already approached her. She was considering joining them when things went to hell.
Hannah knew she needed help, but from whom?
The obvious choice seemed the alliance. So, she sent the representative a message, only to be told that they were all preoccupied and asked her to hold for the night.
Then they had the audacity to try and buy things from her for dirt cheap! That’s when she took a gamble. She made a circle in the ground and divided it in half.
One option was to wait for the alliance. The other was to ask for help from Seraphine. She then left it on her luck, which led her to ask for help.
She did the same thing when Sera told her to make an enslavement contract herself and send it to Adrian. Surprisingly, her luck wanted her to hug their thighs, and now she realized she did the right thing.
My luck did not betray me!
Sera’s words pushed her out of her thoughts.
"Master doesn’t speak much. If you have any questions, you can ask me instead."
Hannah nodded slowly, still looking at the axe and Adrian. The man did not look much good, but his physique was top-tier.
No wonder he’s moving around with the axe so effortlessly.
Her thoughts were once again interrupted, but this time because of the boars. The fence shook violently with each impact. A visible crack had already formed near the base of one section.
Even though the fence wasn’t his, Adrian couldn’t help but frown at seeing such a precious thing getting ruined.
"We need to kill them before they break the barrier," Adrian said, looking at Mika, who nodded.
He then snapped his fingers in front of Hannah and then pointed towards her house. Hannah nodded and looked at the boars once before hurrying into her multi-storeyed shelter.
While she retreated, he sent a text to Sera, telling her to stay back and wait. He even warned her to stay alert, as they might not be able to help her, as everyone would be busy dealing with a boar themselves.
After giving everyone their instructions, Adrian rolled his shoulders and jumped over the fence with the axe in hand. Mika followed right after, while Sera stayed inside the fence for now.
She would have to defend Hannah’s shelter, in case a boar broke through.
Meanwhile, outside the fence, the two of them moved toward the boars that continued ramming the fence. Adrian had hoped they wouldn’t notice them until it was too late.
Unfortunately, he had underestimated their sense of smell. The moment they got close, the boars noticed the newcomers and stopped ramming the fence before turning their snouts toward Adrian and Mika and snorting loudly, as if challenging them.
But then, seeing there were only two opponents, one boar returned to ramming the fence.
"Really...?" Adrian mumbled, his mouth twitching at the blatant disrespect.
"OINK OINK~!!!"
One of the boars snorted loudly and charged straight at them like a battering ram. The second boar followed right behind it.
Usually when wild boars came barrelling towards someone, they would think about running away or dodging. Adrian would have done the same... if he didn’t have his axe. 𝒻𝘳ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝒷𝘯ℴ𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝑐ℴ𝑚
Mika was about to step forward to intercept the first boar when she noticed Adrian’s odd stance. He was holding the axe to the side, roughly at the same height as those creatures in front.
After realizing that Adrian had a plan, she stepped back. Besides, she had been wanting to see how strong his new weapon was.
As the boars got close, Adrian’s muscles tensed as he swung the blade to unleash an upward [Ogre’s Cleave] attack.
The boar didn’t even have the time to react when the massive axe head hit the area between its thick neck and muscular shoulders.
[You dealt 412 HP damage to the lvl 7 Adolescent Wild Boar.]
[Adolescent Wild Boar HP: 208/620]
[
[Adolescent Wild Boar will lose 14 HP/sec for 10 seconds.]
Blood coupled with chunks of bones sprayed out from the boar’s body as it was sent flying back like a rag doll, crashing into the second boar behind it.
The injured boar let out a horrifying squeal as it tumbled across the ground. It tried getting up, but its left front leg gave out as its shoulder joint had been shattered upon impact.
The wound on it was so big that the bleed status effect applied on its own on the creature, and it took much more HP from the boar than the dagger would.
"Tsk, not enough to one-shot them..."
Even after seeing the boar in such a state, Adrian was far from impressed. He had wanted to sever the darn thing’s head for triggering him, but the weapon did not have an attachment and felt lacking despite its explosive power.
Hm... I’ll have to upgrade the wolf’s claw attachment and use it on this—
While he was thinking about it, Mika jumped over him, straight at the uninjured boar. Before the boar could get to its feet after being hit by its kin, Mika stabbed her spear right through its stomach.
Seeing as both the boars were rapidly losing health, Adrian rushed towards them, raising his axe over his head and brought it down with all his might.
BOOOOOOM!
