Ignoring the stunned gazes of the women, Adrian entered the longhouse. The rooms were very spacious, and the beds weren’t bad either.
"As expected of an epic-tier house," he mumbled, jumping on the bed. "Hm... it shouldn’t break easily. Good."
[Dreaming about breaking beds already? Ha, first learn to walk properly, boy!]
Much like how he ignored the women, Adrian ignored his ancestor as well and went to check the crafting table instead. As soon as he reached there, a holographic screen appeared before him.

Please enter a blueprint for storage and creation purposes.

Adrian casually pulled the only remaining snare trap card he had and placed it on the wooden table. The next second, the card disappeared, and a new notification appeared before him.
xxx
Blueprint learned: Basic Snare Trap Card.
Items required for creation:
⬩ Flexible Branch (0/1)
⬩ Twisted vine (0/1)
⬩ Sharpened stick (0/1)
⬩ Flat bark piece (0/1)

"Woah, this is useful!" Adrian whistled.
For the moment, he only knew that he needed cards to combine and upgrade items. And the only way to get the cards was through leveling up and daily settlement.
Both of these depended on luck, as there wasn’t a guarantee that he would get the same cards every day. But with the crafting table, he could create more of the cards himself as long as he got enough materials.
However, there was a demerit.
"The used cards will disappear..." Adrian mumbled, thinking about the snare card he lost. "It would have been a problem if I used something like the [Honed Bone Dagger] card instead."
He continued, "It’s a good thing I don’t have the card, or else my dumbass would have used it first."
Given that the dagger was an epic-tier item, the materials required to make it wouldn’t be simple. Had he used the dagger, not only would he have lost it, but he would have gained a recipe that he couldn’t even put to use!
With two facilities checked, Adrian walked outside to check the fire pit instead.
xxx
Item: Communal Fire Pit/Hearth
Type: Structure
Grade: Epic (Purple)
Structure stats:
⬩ Effective Heat Radius: 8 meters
⬩ Effective Light Radius: 12 meters
⬩ Maximum Number of Concurrent tasks: 6
⬩ Fuel type: Wood, dry grass, and dried animal dung.
⬩ Durability: Permanent (can only be destroyed with the longhouse.)
Passive skills:
⬩ Warmth: All occupants within the heat radius gain ’warmth’ status. Boosts stamina regen by 8%, HP regen by 5% while sleeping, and cold resistance by 20%.
⬩ Crafting: Unlocks heat-dependent crafting mechanisms such as rendering fat, hardening bone tools, drying meat, boiling water, and smelting.
⬩ Drying Rack: Hanging meat, hides, or herbs within 3 m of the hearth reduces drying/curing time by 60%.
Unique skill:
⬩ Eternal Flame: The fire pit retains undying heat within itself. As long as the fire pit has been used in 3 days, it will automatically light itself as long as fuel is put in.
Warnings:
The smoke from the fire pit is visible from a 600-meter radius, exposing the location. Also, a cold restart is required for the pit to work if it goes unused for three days.
xxx
"Even the fire pit is an epic-tier item!?"
As Adrian went through the details, he couldn’t believe how good it was. He was worried he would have to rub wood together to make fire, like shown in those survival series he often watched on TV.
Thankfully, that wasn’t the case. As long as he lit it once, the thing would work by itself. He would only need to go through it once and then just add fuel to it.
After seeing how good the fire pit was, Adrian couldn’t wait to check out the animal pen and rushed straight there, ignoring the weird gaze of Mika and Tribe Mother.
"Dang, it’s even better than I expected! There wouldn’t be any hassle raising wild beasts here. Though I still need to feed the animals."
xxx
Item: Animal Pen (Small)
Type: Structure
Grade: Epic (Purple)
Structure stats:
⬩ Animal Holding Capacity: 25
⬩ Predator Deterrence: Moderate (Prevents small predators from harming the pen and the animals within.)
⬩ Accepted Animal Size: Small-to-medium
⬩ Feeding: Once per day.
⬩ Durability: Permanent (can only be destroyed with the longhouse.)
Passive skills:
⬩ Increased Yield: All animals housed here produce +20% yield on every harvest, regardless of species. Applies to meat, hide, byproducts, and crafting materials universally.
⬩ Accelerated Recovery: Injured or starved animals placed in the pen recover condition 3× faster than they would in the wild. A near-dead animal stabilizes within one day.
⬩ Scent Masking: The dense animal scent of the pen confuses predator tracking within 15 m. Small predators following a trail to the longhouse lose the scent at the pen perimeter.
Unique skill:
⬩ Familiar Place: The pen floor has been layered with worked soil, crushed herb, and the accumulated scent of generations of small animals. Any wild animal placed inside is instantly tamed and enables heightened reproduction among compatible beasts placed inside.
Warnings:
Large predators can breach the wall, and scent masking wouldn’t work on them completely. Animals that go unfed for more than two days lose all the passive bonuses gained from the pen. While overcrowding is permissible, doing so would make the animals stressed and act out.

Seeing so many wonderful stats, Adrian couldn’t help but thank the muscle head ancestor who gave him the 10x reward blessing. Without his blessing, his life would have been very difficult.
At the same time, running all over the place made him thirsty. After all, he hadn’t had a sip of water since arriving in the savage world.
He immediately took out a water bottle and emptied it in one go. Still not satisfied, he took out another one and drank a quarter of it as well. Only then did he put the bottle down and see the stunned expression of the women that had been frozen in time.
They were staring at the bottle, and only then did it hit Adrian that it was the first time the women had seen anything like it. Instead of explaining things, he just held out the bottle towards Tribe Mother.
"It’s just water," he said. "It’s clean, so you don’t have to worry."
The Tribe Mother, showing off her bravery, accepted the bottle, then mimicked Adrian’s action of sipping... with the cap still on.
"No, not like this," Adrian clicked his tongue, taking the bottle back. "Here, first you have to twist this off and then, here, you can drink now."
Tribe Mother looked suspiciously at the cap-less bottle, but still drank from it. The moment the cool water touched her lips, her eyes shot open in disbelief as she kept switching her gaze between Adrian and the bottle.
"Wonderful!" she exclaimed, handing the bottle to Mika. "Sister, have some."
Mika refused. In her eyes, Adrian was a magician, and she didn’t like them too much. At least not enough to drink a suspicious liquid. However, under the Mother’s insistence, she did drink, and just like Tribe Mother, her expression also changed.
