Morning light pierced the curtain-less window of the longhouse, hitting Adrian straight in the face. But the light wasn’t the thing that woke him up.
He was awakened by rustling sounds and the squawking of chickens. He propped himself on his elbows to look out of the window and saw that the women had already begun their day’s labor.
The closest to him was Sera, being chased by the chickens. She must have tried to get the eggs, but since the chickens remembered attacking her yesterday, they attacked her again.
"So much for a good night’s rest. I should change my room, or these chickens won’t let me sleep in peace," Adrian grumbled as he turned away.
Amika was already up and working outside the pen. She seemed to be collecting something, a certain kind of grass from the ground. Just then, she bent over to pull out a particularly stubborn grass.
As she pulled, her grass top became a bit loose, giving him a glimpse of her chest. Adrian quickly looked away and hurriedly took out a bottle of water and gulped half of it down to soothe his dry throat.
That’s when he looked down and saw his mini-me greeting him. Just like a lion who had tasted human blood, now that his proud warrior had tasted the ecstasy once, it was ready for some more action.
Thankfully, something else happened that took his attention away.
[Congratulations on sowing your first seed of lineage.]
[You have received the reward: One year of arduously trained physique.]
[Ancestor’s 10x blessing in effect. Gained ten years of arduously trained physique.]
Before he had even finished reading the notifications, a sudden pain erupted in his body. It started with his hands, as the muscles there began spasming, crushing the water bottle and spilling its contents all over the bed.
The pain in his arms had barely subsided when his legs seized up, then the back and the rest of his body. It felt like every muscle in his body was being wrung out like a wet cloth.
Adrian curled his legs up toward his chest and rolled onto his side. The pain became unbearable. He grabbed his blanket and shoved it in his mouth and bit hard.
By the time it stopped, Adrian was curled up on the floor, covered in sweat.
[Boy, are you alright? The pain of one year’s infusion wouldn’t have been so bad, but eleven years would hurt like hell.]
"...what do you think?" he grumbled, getting back up.
He expected more pain to hit him at any moment, but thankfully, nothing happened. That’s when he looked down, and his eyes widened in disbelief.
"I’m jacked!"
It wasn’t the body of Arnold Schwarzenegger, but he wasn’t skinny like he had been before. It was more like those athletic anime builds that people fawned over.
Even after putting over twenty stat points in his strength, his muscle mass had barely improved, but thanks to his ’seed’, he had become much stronger.
He could see the bulging veins in his hands when he flexed. His chest had actual definition to it. But the thing that made him smile the most was his eight-pack abs!
"Wait, eight? I thought people only had six?"
[It all depends on genetics, boy. That brute ancestor of yours also has eight, though he keeps trying to get more.]
[The scholar told him it’s not possible, but that brute doesn’t listen to anybody...]
Adrian just waved his hand dismissively to shake the voice out of his head. He had no interest in someone else’s body goals.
Eleven years’ worth of training packed into his body in the span of a few agonizing minutes. Suddenly he felt all the pain was worth it.
[Your stats have received a massive boost!]
[Strength: 31 → 54]
[Agility: 6 → 18]
[Endurance: 38 → 61]
[Vitality: 30 → 60]
[Willpower: 22 → 37]
"Wait? Even willpower increased? Should it only affect the physical attributes?"
[Willpower represents your pain tolerance. Since your body’s condition has improved, your pain tolerance also increased.]
"Ah, I see."
A loud squawk from outside snapped him back to reality. Sera let out a sharp yelp followed by the sound of her falling.
"Right... let’s see what’s going on outside."
Adrian casually walked out, stretching his neck and arms. He had a feeling he had woken up even later than he did yesterday.
Even so, his favorability didn’t drop by a single point. Instead, it increased. After all, he had done a lot of work yesterday. It made sense if he woke up late.
[Tribe’s favorability towards you has increased by 3 points.]
[Current favorability: 119/150 points]
[Current Standing: Honored Member]
He had barely stepped outside when he felt someone’s gaze on him. He looked up and saw Mika staring at him from a distance.
Amika was next to her, talking about something, but stopped when she noticed Adrian and hurried to him.
"Male, you’re... awake," she shyly said, looking him up and down. "You look different."
Even Mika couldn’t keep her eyes off him and walked to him. Soon Nixa and Rixxa joined in, and so did Sera. His servant’s expression was especially strange, with a tinge of redness marking the corners of her ears.
"It must be something in the air," Adrian shrugged and opened his inventory. "Oh, before I forget, take these."
Just like that, five spears and two bows and some stone arrows materialized on the ground before him. He kept the rest to combine later.
The tribeswomen were clearly taken aback by Adrian’s ’sorcery’. Yet, their favorability shot up again.
[Current favorability: 121/150 points]
Not paying any attention to their expressions, he picked up a spear.
"I noticed you didn’t have any weapons to fight, so I made these," he said, handing the spear to Nixa. "They aren’t as good as my daggers, but much better than using sticks and stones."
"Male, you made this?" Nixa asked.
Adrian nodded. They wouldn’t understand what daily settlement was even if he explained it to them. That’s why he said he made them.
While the women were wrapping their heads around it, Adrian distributed the weapons and took a spear for himself before walking away.
He wanted to master the weapon as soon as possible. Why? For the rewards, of course.
"Hm... I should also use the wolf puppy card," he mumbled, remembering that getting Raven contributed towards the daily settlement. "Then, I will go check the pit trap as well. Chickens are good, but getting more animals to tame wouldn’t cause any harm."
