The light subsided after a few seconds, leaving behind a white card by their feet. Adrian picked it up and turned it over.
"A pet enhancement card?" he mumbled.
It looked similar to the enhancement card he got from the daily settlement. Only this one had an image of a bunch of animals on it. The only restriction was that it could only be used on a common-grade pet.
"Huginn!" Adrian called for her.
The raven flew from outside and perched on top of his head, looking at the card with a tilted head.
"You already know it’s for you?" Adrian chuckled.
"Caw!"
"Alright then, get on my hand, and I’ll use it for you."
Huginn followed her owner’s words and hopped onto his outstretched hand. Watching her nuzzle against his palm made Adrian smile as he put the card against her head.
The card immediately shattered into sparkling white light and enveloped the bird.
"Caw!" Huginn let out a startled cry, but didn’t leave Adrian’s hand.
The light grew brighter to the point Adrian and Sera had to look away. At the same time, Huginn felt heavier in his hand. Only once the light faded did Adrian realize why she suddenly felt heavy.
When the glow finally faded, a much larger raven stood on Adrian’s hand. Huginn had grown significantly and was twice the size of an adult bald eagle.
If not for his ridiculous physique, Adrian would have dropped the bird during the ’evolution’.
Huginn shot to the air and flapped her wings. Adrian could only guess it, but her wingspan was easily more than three meters. She even had grown some purple-black patterns on them that made her look even more intimidating during flight.
"Look at those talons," Sera mumbled. "Master, I don’t think you can hold her on your shoulder anymore, hehe."
As she said that, Huginn dropped straight towards her. Sera panicked and crouched, covering her head. Huginn landed in front of her and pecked her head before hopping over to Adrian.
"Alright, alright, no need to get violent," Adrian chuckled, stroking Huginn’s head. "To think one common card did all this..."
Huginn did not look like a raven anymore. She had evolved into an uncommon pet.

Seeing how the well had given a decent result and even overhauled Huginn’s class use entirely, Adrian wanted to test it more.
"Five useless items for one useful card. It can’t be too bad..." he mumbled, throwing wolf claws inside.
This time there was no light, just a black smoke that oozed out of the well, and it puked out a wooden crate.
[Rotten fruit crate x1]
[Ancestor’s 10x blessing in effect. Gained 10x rotten fruit crate]
"..."
"..."
Sera looked at Adrian. It took all of her willpower not to laugh at that moment.
"Master, maybe you should leave this to me?" she finally managed to say without giggling.
Adrian frowned and kicked the crate. As soon as he did, the lid broke apart, and a horrible stench suddenly burst out from the crate.
"Ugh!" Adrian groaned and scrunched his face before covering his nose with his arm.
Sera’s reaction was even worse. She gagged violently, her eyes watering as she took several quick steps backward.
"It smells... awful!" she cried.
"Cawww!"
Even Huginn couldn’t tolerate it and flew to the sentinel tower.
Meanwhile, Adrian waved his hand in front of his face, trying to disperse the horrible odor. That’s when it hit him. The rotten fruit might not be as useless as they thought.
Rotten fruit could be used for multiple things!
First, the most basic use was to use it as feed for the chickens. Till now, they were only eating the insects they found inside the pen and grass, along with seeds from the wild fruits.
However, he could feed them these fruits. However, that would be a waste of the rotten fruit’s true potential.
Instead, if he put in some effort, he could turn them into compost to use on the farmland since it did not have any fertilizing skills.
"Once Sera makes the pots, I might even try to make some liquor or vinegar to preserve things!" Adrian smiled and patted himself on the back.
Honestly, he was leaning towards making liquor, even though making compost was a better use. Why you ask? Just because he hadn’t tasted alcohol in a while.
Regardless of what he ended up using them for, the rotten fruit crates were perhaps even better pull than the enhancement card from before.
Meanwhile, Sera, watching Adrian smile, thought he was too shocked at his terrible luck and had lost his mind.
Adrian didn’t dwell much on his luck and just put the crates inside his inventory. He would prepare the necessary things first before using these crates.
But before that, there was something else that needed to be done.
Sera nodded after receiving the text and used the card. As she did, a wooden cart with a cloth covering the top appeared next to the well.
Adrian tried accessing the marketplace, but he couldn’t. He could see the thing, but not what it did.
Right... I might need a marketplace of my own first.
However, Sera did not have any difficulty and even explained what she saw to Adrian.
"Um... It’s like a shop and buy, I guess? There’s a sell tab and a purchase tab," she said, pointing at a screen that Adrian couldn’t see. "There are a few things for sale here."
"Are there any coverable containers?" he texted her, only for her to shake her head.
"I can only see a bunch of herbs, some dirty water, and a few handmade weapons for sale," she replied. "It could be that only a few people have the marketplace, so the items are limited and also overpriced. This wants 250 exp for a small pack of coriander seeds—"
"If you find any fruit seeds there, then buy them. I already have herb seeds. Don’t need more of them."
Adrian cut her off with a text, then turned to leave, only to send another text to her.
"Is anyone selling shovels?"
