Eh? Uncommon and level 1?
He looked at Raven perched on top of the longhouse. She came from a common pet recruitment card and was still at level 5. The direwolf card was uncommon, yet it only gave a level 1 puppy?
Besides, he noticed one thing. Raven doesn’t seem to level up at all. He had chalked it up to the bird not getting any kills, but that didn’t make much sense to him.
In games he had played in his young days, the pet used to level up alongside the playable character.
Well, there’s no point thinking about it either way.
[That’s more like it. Now, be a gentleman and don’t keep the ladies waiting.]
Adrian looked up and saw the women’s intense gaze fixed on him.
"Is something wrong?" he asked. Only then did the women look away.
[Tribe’s favorability towards you has increased by 45 points.]
[Current favorability: 111/150 points]
[Current Standing: Honored Member]
Eh? I expected a spike, but... isn’t this too much?
Adrian still didn’t realize what he had done. Before, it took all the women of the tribe to take down a single wolf. Sure, the one he encountered was an old one, but the efficiency with which he did it hadn’t gone unnoticed by the tribe.
Besides, it put the Tribe Mother in an awkward position. She had thought the wolf would rough the male a bit, then if they saved him, his gratitude towards them would have spiked, and he would become loyal to the women.
But the opposite happened.
The women were now indebted to him. However, Adrian was oblivious to all that because the regional chat was in an uproar, and he was the reason for it.
: I’m willing to sign a slave contract with the master! Please carry me into your arms, uwu!
Adrian’s mouth twitched at reading the last comment. The chat was always filled with weirdos, but he wanted to know how everyone knew what he had done.
Only then did he notice that a new chat channel had appeared next to the world and regional chats.
"Announcements?" Adrian said, clicking on it.
Sure enough, there it was in golden letters.
[Congratulations to Player117 for getting the first Alpha species kill in the region.]
[Rewards for the great feat will arrive soon in your inventory!]
At least they had the decency to hide my name. Then again, it’s not like anyone would know where I am to harm me for the rewards.
From the corner of his eye, he noticed Sera standing there. For her dazed expression, it seemed she was checking out the announcement channel as well. But the next second, she began jabbing her fingers furiously in the empty air.
Adrian had a bad feeling about it and tried to stop her, but it was too late.
A new message had popped up in the regional chat.
Adrian saw the message and sighed in frustration. He wanted to preserve his anonymity, but the fool had rushed to speak out. Not only that, given her loud-mouthed nature, she would definitely spill the beans about their settlement if someone triggered her.
I can’t have that.
He sent her another message, instructing her not to use any chat without his permission. She was only allowed to open their private chat window, nothing else.
Once again, Adrian expected her to cry about it. Instead, Sera... smiled and looked away shyly. A moment later, she grabbed two branches and got to work, trying to light up the fire pit.
Even as she did, Adrian saw her mouth something while blushing.
"So possessive..."
He just watched her and scratched his head in confusion. He didn’t understand a thing about women. How did a master wanting his servant to follow commands become possessive?
"Male."
Tribe Mother’s voice snapped him out of his thoughts. Thinking she was worried about the spilled blood and not wanting his favorability to fall again, Adrian immediately grabbed the wolf’s legs and tossed it over his shoulder.
"Yes, don’t worry, I’ll clean this up—"
"Forgive me for testing you," Tribe Mother said, suddenly dropping to her knees, her head planted on the ground.
The other women saw it and did the same, leaving Adrian flustered and out of his wits.
Not because they were paying respects to him, but because in doing so, they had forgotten all about their less-than-covering attire.
As they leaned in, their skirts were pulled upwards, which wouldn’t have mattered if not for their large size. But since their butts were massive, Adrian inevitably caught a glimpse of them.
He tried to look away, but his eyes kept drifting towards their bare backs, and a sudden heat engulfed him.
The fight with the wolf had given him a dose of primal excitement, and the women were only making it worse.
[Ah, I remember this sight vividly... those were the times.]
Not the time for it, you Playboy!
The women looked up after paying their respects, only to be greeted by Adrian’s flagpole saluting them back. 𝕗𝕣𝐞𝐞𝘄𝐞𝚋𝚗𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹.𝚌𝕠𝚖
Although they had seen him naked, watching his little brother in all his glory was something else entirely.
Adrian noticed where they were looking and instinctively wanted to cover up, but he was holding the wolf, so he could only stand there, allowing the women to devour him with their eyes.
"Ahem, Tribe Mother," Adrian cleared his throat, nodding at the wolf carcass on his shoulder. "Could you tell me where I can drain this creature’s blood?"
The wolf fur was soft and warm. It would be a waste not to salvage it and produce fur for the tribe, as the nights on Savage Earth got cold.
"Y-Yes," she stammered, getting back to her feet. "I’ll take you to the stream. Amika, get your sister and Rixxa. Bring that Wanderer too. We can all wash together."
