As Kaizer returned to his seat and the arena’s systems cycled a fresh surge of restorative energy across the battered stage, the platinum screen flickered again.

[Match 2: Tyrron Buld "Ragnar" (S-Class – Earth Lightning) vs. Caleb Ward (A-Class – Null Shield)]

The atmosphere shifted.

From the moment Tyrron’s name appeared, a low murmur swept the crowd. If Kaizer was precision embodied, then Tyrron was raw, chaotic might, pretty muc a living storm barely leashed by mortal flesh.

From the waiting tunnel, Tyrron emerged, barefoot once more, his sleeveless gi fluttering under the gusts of charged air that followed him.

Each step he took toward the center of the arena left small cracks in the obsidian floor, as if the earth itself recoiled at his presence.

"Contestant Tyrron Buld, esper alias Ragnar! Rating: S-Class. Ability: Earth Lightning with kinetic amplification and rage-based infinite scaling!" Lysandra announced, her voice almost straining to keep the excitement contained.

Across the field, Caleb Ward entered much more quietly.

He was a tall abd well-built young man clad in dense black armor covered with geometric white lines while exuding the calmness of a fortress. Around his body shimmered a faint translucent field — a Null Shield — that repelled loose dust and energy particles like a forcefield in constant motion.

"His defense is absolute against conventional energy forms, definitely good match-up to test Ragnar’s growth." Sophia murmured, analyzing calmly.

Kaizer nodded thoughtfully. "But only if he doesn’t get serious."

The two warriors faced each other.

Tyrron cracked his neck with a grin, fists clenching as green arcs of lightning snaked across his broad chest and arms.

Caleb activated his shield fully with a slow and mechanical raise of his hands as a heavy hum filled the arena, spatial distortions forming around him.

Two unstoppable forces were about to clash, one brutish and wild while the other was cold and immovable.

Lysandra sliced her hand downward.

"BEGIN!"

BOOM!

Tyrron didn’t wait for a second as a green light flashed and the arena shuddered as he shot forward like a cannonball.

Caleb braced behind his Null Shield, positioning his feet perfectly.

The collision came.

WHAM!

The sound of impact was like a hammer striking an anvil.

Tyrron’s fist met the shield, and for a brief moment, the two energies rippled against each other, pure rage versus nullification.

Cracks spiderwebbed outward from Caleb’s feet but the shield held under pressure.

Tyrron staggered back half a step, green lightning surging crazily around him, his muscles twitching with anticipation.

And then... he grinned wider.

"HAAAAH!" A deep roar emerged from him and the earth lightning responded as more energy flooded his veins, his power surging higher.

He shot forward again, fists swinging in a brutal barrage.

BAM! BAM! BAM!

Each strike shook the arena’s outer shields. Caleb blocked, shifted, parried with the barest of movements, absorbing Tyrron’s attacks and dispersing the kinetic energy into the ground beneath him.

Sophia frowned slightly. "Caleb’s shield disperses physical force, but..."

Rina leaned in, eyes shining. "He’s forgetting that anger is Ragnar’s steroids!"

Indeed, every time Caleb absorbed a hit, Tyrron got faster and stronger.

The audience could barely follow the exchanges now, only seeing green and white lights flashing in rapid succession.

Caleb’s neutral stance began to falter slightly, his breathing becoming heavier.

He launched a desperate counterstrike — a dense null wave to push Tyrron back — but Tyrron absorbed the pulse into his aura with a wild laugh.

Kaizer observed coolly. "Tyrron’s body treats kinetic resistance like friction... and friction is just more fuel."

At last, Tyrron drew back both fists, crouched low, and slammed into Caleb with a full-body shoulder tackle.

CRACK-BOOM!

The Null Shield flashed wildly as cracks appeared not just around Caleb, but inside the arena’s shield itself.

Caleb gritted his teeth, trying to activate a secondary nullification layer but Tyrron’s momentum now resembled a descending meteor, practically unstoppable.

One final roar — louder than before — and Tyrron punched clean through the outermost layer of Caleb’s shield, sending him flying backward across the platform like a stone skipping across water.

Caleb slid to a halt just shy of the arena boundary as he tried to rise weakly, but his legs quivered and buckled under him.

His shields flickered... then collapsed.

DING!

"Winner: Tyrron Buld, Ragnar!" Lysandra’s voice rang out, full of life.

The crowd erupted into a frenzy as some cheered wildly while others stood frozen, hands to their mouths, stunned by the brutal spectacle.

Tyrron, panting lightly, reigned in the chaotic lightning still sparking around him, his wild grin softening into a calmer yet satisfied smile.

He gave Caleb — now kneeling but still conscious — a brief nod of respect before turning away and stomping casually off the battlefield.

Rina laughed aloud. "I like that madman."

Sophia adjusted her glasses. "Primal, but effective."

Lucian merely said. "Problematic if unchained."

Eleanor snorted. "Another brute."

Kaizer, arms crossed, smiled faintly. "He’s a natural disaster given form... but one day he’ll realize storms aren’t meant to be caged."

As the medics rushed in to help Caleb, new names began to flash as the platinum screens buzzed alive once more, signaling that the next match was about to begin.

[Match 3: Eleanor Seltzer "Elementia" (S- Class – Magic of the Ancients) vs. Lyla Trevine (A-Class – Lunar Marking)]

The atmosphere changed again, this time by cooling sharply and becoming rigid.

Lysandra’s voice shifted into a tone both respectful and wary.

"Prepare yourselves. Stepping forward now... the heiress of ancient command, the queen of elemental sovereignty... Eleanor Seltzer, known to the world as Elementia!"

A refined ripple of cheers — mostly from the upper VIP stands — greeted Eleanor as she rose gracefully from her seat.

Her twin-tailed dark brown hair swayed elegantly behind her as she descended the marble steps with the unhurried gait of someone who had no equal here.

Her crimson and black outfit gleamed under the lights, a stark contrast to her cold, clinical blue eyes, which barely spared a glance at the battlefield.

"Contestant Eleanor Seltzer, esper alias Elementia. Rating: S-. Discipline: Magic of the Ancients, classified under Elemental Control!" Lysandra confirmed.

Across the platform stood Lyla Trevine, lithe and focused.

Lyla wore silver-trimmed battle gear, with crescent marks etched into her arms that glowed faintly. Her Lunar Marking ability allowed her to ’tag’ opponents and enhance her attacks’ tracking precision dramatically.

Lysandra continued with an amused edge. "Her opponent: Lyla Trevine. A-Class. Ability: Lunar Marking — tracking, binding, and hunting through lunar energy synchronization."

Both girls stood poised with Eleanor’s face betraying not even the slightest interest while Lyla, to her credit, didn’t flinch under the weight of Eleanor’s silent presence.

Lysandra slashed her hand down.

"BEGIN!"

Lyla struck first, firing several glowing silver brands through the air that were rapid shimmering arcs aimed precisely toward Eleanor’s position.

Each brand would attach to an opponent on contact, making it impossible to hide or evade follow-up attacks.

However... Eleanor merely raised her right hand.

Three golden glyphs — each swirling with ancient script — blossomed around her like protective halos, causing the silver brands to never even touch her.

The brands distorted, crumpled, and then evaporated mid-flight, snuffed out by the overwhelming interference of Eleanor’s magic.

"She’s not blocking. She’s rewriting their very trajectory and nullifying them before they finish existing." Kaizer’s eyes narrowed.

Sophia murmured, impressed. "True elemental sovereignty. Even tracking abilities are treated like child’s play."

Lyla gritted her teeth and pivoted, weaving silver spears and chains from her lunar brands and hurling them in complex multi-layered patterns.

Dozens of attacks filled the air forming a constellation of guided strikes.

The crowd roared with excitement at the spectacle.

"Hmph, futile." Eleanor snorted as she didn’t even bother to move from her starting position.

Instead, she calmly extended two fingers forward and murmured:

"Magic of the Ancients: Stasis. Seal."

A brilliant amber rune spun outward from her hand, expanding into a circular array in the air.

Every single one of Lyla’s lunar attacks froze midair completely, as if time itself had been shackled.

Gasps echoed throughout the stadium as Lyla’s eyes widened in horror.

Before she could react, the frozen lunar brands shattered into harmless motes of light, like fireflies crushed under an invisible hand.

Eleanor finally walked forward, boots clicking sharply against the now-silent arena floor.

She raised a single hand toward Lyla, whose body instinctively flinched under the suffocating dominance.

A larger glyph — ornate and ancient beyond description — spun lazily into existence above Lyla’s head.

Fwuuuuuuummm.

It descended like judgment passed.

Lyla struggled to summon her energy, but found herself unable to move, her body locked in a stasis field.

The silver marks she had placed upon herself in preparation for defense now dimmed, flickering and dying one after another.

Lyla’s knees buckled and she collapsed to one hand, breathing heavily, unable to rise.

"I... I surrender..." She croaked weakly.

DING!

"Winner: Eleanor Seltzer, Elementia!" Lysandra announced with both awe and amusement.

The crowd thundered their applause, a different kind than Tyrron’s.

This wasn’t overwhelming power, it was absolute inevitability.

There had never been a chance.

Eleanor paid no attention to the crowd or her opponent.

She simply turned with a small, disdainful flick of her twin tails, retrieving her tablet from her belt storage as she exited the battlefield, already dismissing the match from her mind.

"She fights like a queen punishing a rebellion," Roland muttered, shaking his head in reluctant admiration.

Sophia folded her arms. "She’s the purest form of control user I’ve seen at this level."

Rina scoffed, chewing gum. "Tch. Too clean. I like fights where someone at least sweats."

Kaizer didn’t comment.

But in the depths of his mind... he acknowledged something important:

It would require more than raw force or technique if he faced Eleanor.

He might have to pull out something special.
