He recognized that he wasn't prepared and powerful enough to defeat the army, so he didn't attack them. But he also knew that the longer the fight between him and the Yggdrasil army dragged on, the higher his chances of defeat would be, so he knew that he had to do something to solve the matter of inadequate preparation and power as soon as possible.

The vampire civilization likes to drag things out too. The more time they are given, the more of the inhabitants of the world they can turn and enslave, and the more soldiers they can have.

But he has heard the older vampires talk incessantly about how it is a bad idea to let the Yggdrasil civilization settle down. He heard that the humans were too smart and insidious.

He doesn't think humans are smarter than vampires, but what he thinks cannot change the fact that the vampires have suffered more defeat than losses at the hands of the Yggdrasil civilization since they first made contact with one another.

So he had to do something to change his disadvantageous situation as soon as possible. Fortunately, he had two options to solve his problem.

Crimson Sergil's previous plan was to continue creating more vampires who will in turn help him hunt and bring the blood he needs to create the false god. Unfortunately, that plan can't continue with the intervention of the Yggdrasil civilization.

The blood he has is not enough to create a false god. But he can't get more blood in peace because of the Yggdrasil army. He has to use what he already has or be at the risk of losing it.

He has two options now. Either he uses what he has currently to create blood puppets with the power of demigods or he sacrifices the blood he has to bring more helpers to the umbra world.

He is tempted to go with the first option because the blood puppets will be under his strict and total control. He will also be able to turn the blood puppets back to blood and combine them to create the false god in the future.

So this option is more like a pause in his first plan. With this option, he will have more helpers. These helpers will be under his control, and he can use them to achieve his original goal whenever he wants.

The second option will also give him other helpers. But these helpers won't be under control. He doesn't like that at all.

The only good thing about the second plan is that there will be more primordial vampires in the Umbra world. This means that the speed of creating vampires will become faster, and he will have others who he can use to distract the Yggdrasil civilization away from his actions.

So these helpers will help him resist the Yggdrasil civilization. If things go well, these helpers will also help him become a true god quickly.

Three is a third option, which is to take what he already has and leave the Umbra world. But that is something he doesn't want to do at all.

He would rather share this world with other primordial vampires than to run away from the Yggdrasil civilization without any resistance. It is a matter of pride and hate.

He is too proud to give up without a fight, and he hates the Yggdrasil civilization, so he wants to fight. He also wants to become a true god, and this is a good opportunity to do so, so he can't give up this opportunity so easily.

Besides, he doesn't think he has much to fear from the Yggdrasil civilization apart from failure. It is true that the Yggdrasil civilization has managed to kill primordial vampires permanently, but it isn't easy to do.

Right now, he has the time, the space, and resources to create the portal he needs. Despite the urgency of the situation, he still has the leeway in who he wants to summon. He will definitely lose that leeway if enemies are at his doorstep.

He is choosing the second option because he has the opportunity to use it now. If he doesn't use it now, his options will become fewer in the future, and he will be alone with the enemies.

It was the smart decision, but he still didn't like it after making it. He grumbled to himself as he got to work.
