Synopsis

It has been 85 years since Earth-11 became connected to Yggdrasil, and 73 years since Icon became the first demigod born from Earth. As the first of his kind, Icon was given the power to weave the threads of fate for all mankind. He was supposed to sever Earth-11’s link to Yggdrasil and free humanity from the rule of other Earths and their god-kings.

That was why the entire world helped him climb the Tower of Destiny.

But instead of freeing Earth, Icon twisted fate itself. He reshaped humanity’s destiny into seven Rings of Immortality.

The first ring granted immortality of power.
The second, immortality of knowledge.
The third through sixth granted immortality of mind, energy, body, and soul.
And the final ring—the Paragon Ring—was created to rule over them all.

Icon claimed the Paragon Ring for himself and became a tyrant. For years, he ruled the world with an iron fist, bringing humanity into an age of terror. Eventually, he was brought down by the combined efforts of the world.

Now, 62 years later, Icon is gone—but his legacy remains.

Earth-11 is still bound to Yggdrasil. The deadly Tower of Destiny still stands. And the brutal struggle for the Seven Rings of Immortality continues without end.

Kelvin Thorn has just awakened his ability—and it happens at the worst possible time, while he is running for his life. The power saves him, but it comes with a price: he must climb the Tower of Destiny, watched by the entire world, gathering destiny itself… or die.

He is not alone. Everyone who awakens—almost every human and many non-humans and otherworlders alike—must enter the Tower. It is one of the curses left behind by Icon before his death.

But Kelvin is different.

Because the Seventh Ring has already chosen him.

The Tower of Destiny is a place where all who are touched by fate must fight in trials of strength, skill, and intelligence to gain the power of destiny itself. Most will die. A few will rise beyond death.

Kelvin Thorn is now just one of billions fighting in this endless struggle—and whether he survives or not will decide everything.
