The superior commander spoke in a calm soothing voice. She said, "This expedition is a first expedition to the Umbra world. If you've read your briefing, you will know that our main enemies for this expedition are vampires. So this expedition will not be easy."

"The good news is that we are not invading to fight the whole world. We will have the help of the inhabitants of the Umbra world in the fight against the vampires, so things should be a lot easier for us."

"The scouts have already done a lot of investigations about the Umbra world. Command and the other commanders have formulated a plan to best defeat the vampires. All you have to do is follow orders, and this expedition will be successful."

"As long as everyone does their job and follows their job, everything will be alright. That is all for now."

Then she said solemnly, "By the authority bestowed upon me by the council of God kings, I declare this expedition started."

Her solemn declaration was heard by the mothership. It shook slightly and hummed as it came to life.

Within the spacecraft, it was quiet. All they heard was the slight hum. But outside the spacecraft, there was a loud roar as the engines came to life.

The mothership sealed itself by closing every door and port. Then it wrapped itself in a force field, levitated, and rose high into the air.

As the mothership moved towards the center of the vast space they were in, the inner walls of the spacecraft began to display what was going on outside of the spacecraft. It made it seem as if the opaque walls of the mothership had become transparent.

Even the ground became transparent. So they were able to see just how far up in the air they had risen. They were also able to see what was going on throughout the cost of the world.

The structure of the world was like a giant gear. The spokes of the gear were the halls that the soldiers had appeared in.

These halls were long. When soldiers passed through them, they entered the large ring that formed the middle of the gear. This ring was where the soldiers picked their weapons and gear.

After the soldiers were done equipping themselves, they would appear in the space at the center of the gear. This space is where they boarded the mothership.

The space at the center of the gear is very large. It takes up the largest portion of the whole gear, so the spokes of the gear and the ring itself were smaller than the space at the center of the gear.

There were other motherships in this large space. Some of them were being boarded as they were watching, while others were already moving into the air.

All of this was going on a single gear. There were other gears in this vast space. They were above and below the plate they were on.

On some metal plates, there were only barracks. There were no motherships. Not every plate was being used for preparing soldiers for an expedition.

At the center of this large space was a giant tree. In the core of Earth-11, the space this tree was occupying was where the tower of design stands. 𝓯𝓻𝒆𝙚𝒘𝓮𝙗𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝒍.𝙘𝓸𝙢

The sight of the colossal tree was breathtaking. Kelvin heard the sound of many people gasping when they saw it. It made him roll his eyes in ridicule.

He said, "As expected, it is us in the third division that are behaving like bumpkins."

But the tree was truly large. The closer they got to it, the larger it became. And the bigger it became, the more awe-inspiring it became. It wasn't a wonder why those who were seeing it for the first time were gawking at it.

That awe changed to fear and uneasiness when they got close enough to see the dull faces on the green leaves of the colossal tree. Many people couldn't understand. Why there were faces in leaves.

Only those who knew why or those who suspected the reason looked at the soldiers of the first division. The soldiers in the first division had green fire in their eyes that was the same color as the leaves of the tree.

Their eyes were burning with green light. It made their eyes glow.

All of the soldiers in the first division had this feature. Not many people were willing to believe that it was a coincidence. But not many people could connect the green fire in their eyes to the green color of the leaves of the tree. After all, that could be a coincidence.

As they got closer to the tree, some of its branches twisted together to form the frame of a circular gate. The circular gate itself was very large. It was larger than their mothership was wide and tall.

The space within this circular gate began to twist. As the space twisted, light refracted into various colors. So the twisting space became a blend of colors. It was nauseating to look at.

A soldier vomited after concentrating on the vortex for too long. His vomit was cleaned by a drone that came over. Meanwhile, the soldiers around the man snickered in jest.

Kelvin ignored this and focused on what was about to happen. He knew that a fight for their life was probably waiting for them at the end of the gate, so he was very focused.

He was especially focused because of the main enemy that they will fight in this expedition. From what Wrath had told him, Vampires are very dangerous creatures.

Vampires are one of the races that dared to fight the Yggdrasil civilization and hunt humans. So they couldn't be treated lightly at all.

He thought to himself with a sigh, "Wrath would have loved to see this expedition. I can even imagine her already cheering and shouting for blood."

If he knew that Wrath is the root of his current problem with Icon, he wouldn't think so fondly of her at her. But he doesn't know, so he can still have nice thoughts about her.
