"This rule is why non-human races haven’t taken over the humans in this world and controlled them en masse. It is why we don’t acquire our human products ourselves. We buy them from other humans. Those humans get paid and also sign a waiver freeing us from any responsibility for any repercussions for how they were procured."

"The rule is also why we don’t require a waiver for human slaves but require one for the non-human products. If something bad happens and the Yggdrasil civilization comes calling, we won’t be blamed for whatever happens. You and you alone will be blamed."

Then it asked gently, "Have I made it clear?"

He nodded, "It is all clear."

Astro beamed. "That’s good. You should also know that the position of the lesser vampire and other products will be tracked constantly. So you can contact us anytime you need help with them. We will send over personnel to help you handle any complications. For a fee, of course."

He said, "Of course."

"Shall we proceed?"

"Sure."

Then he paid for the goods and signed the waiver.

He was just curious about why he needed to sign something like that in what appeared to be an illegal transaction. He expected the opposite, in which great effort will be placed to remove any traces of the transaction. He didn’t expect to hear that the rules of Earth-11 count for nothing.

He doesn’t have a problem with having his whole being called weak or having to sign a document that will put the whole blame of the non-human slaves on him. The reason why he doesn’t have a problem with the two is because it doesn’t matter.

It doesn’t matter if he has a problem with being called weak because he is weak. His opinion about being called weak doesn’t matter because he is weak.

He also doesn’t care about being blamed for whatever his nonhuman slaves can do because he intends to kill them soon. The waiver won’t matter once they are dead.

But the things Astro said got him thinking. He was thinking about what Hermes had said about the Council of God Kings calling Earth-11 their weak link.

These rules that the mall abides by and the fact that there is an unknown garrison of the Yggdrasil civilization orbiting the planet indicate that the Yggdrasil civilization has been protecting Earth-11 while we have contributed very little to the Yggdrasil civilization.

He thought to himself, "So we are an investment bleeding money. I can understand why they will be in a hurry to get a return on their investment."

He didn’t think much about it. His thoughts returned to how much strength he will gain from what he had just purchased. He postponed the thought about the strength of the whole planet to when he becomes the god king.

Next, he went with Astro to retrieve the goods. They went all over the mall and visited the various sections where the slaves he had picked were stationed. This allowed him to get a good view of the things available for sale.

He saw crates of various sizes and shapes. He even saw what appeared to be a Tyrannosaurus Rex. Unlike those displayed in museums, this one was alive. It also had bright features that made it look exotic.

The black market mall looked like a museum. And just like most museums, the exhibits were there against their will. They were stolen from their homes, frozen, and placed in see-through cases for people to gawk at.

There were even plaques attached to them that showed some information about their history, life cycle, culture, and habitat. People were going around enjoying all the sights just like a real museum.

But that’s where most of the similarities end. The exhibits in the mall were alive and were for sale. This is not something that museums do or are capable of.

The sights only made the trip to get his goods not boring. They were not enough for him to stay over and look at. He got his things and left immediately.

He got four cases this time around. One of them was very small. It contained the blood tick, which is about the size of a fist.

This size is large for a tick, but it is small compared to the lesser vampire. The lesser Vampire was a true giant. He had read that it was a giant bat, but he didn’t think it would be bigger than humans too.

He was surprised when he saw its box. The closest creature he can think of is a bison. It was huge, and its body was rippling with muscles. It looked like a bodybuilder on steroids had shapeshifted into a bat.

The case that sealed the vampire was 1 meter wide, 0.5 meters tall, and 3 meters long. The vampire’s large, winged arms had to be folded close to its body for it to fit the case.

It was that large. It also weighed about 500 kg. 513 kg to be exact. This is despite being starved for many years.

Apparently, they don’t use any life support system or feeding system to keep the lesser vampire alive. It is because it can survive without breathing or eating for decades if need be.
