She hesitated. Just as she was about to go back to sleep, another ghastly scream erupted from outside the window.

"AHHHHH!"

The voice sounded like it was in terrible pain.

This was followed by the sound of a whip cracking through the air and a very loud slap.

"Get out! Get out!"

"All of you, get out!"

Jiang Zheyu silently covered her ears. The sound felt like it could pierce her eardrums.

At this point, Jiang Zheyu was completely awake.

She slowly moved toward the floor-to-ceiling windows, wanting to see what was happening in the garden.
