Jiang Zheyu felt her temper growing shorter and shorter the more she was with Shan Xun.

’He’s killing me, I’m so mad!’

’That damn Shan Xun!’

’AAAAAH, he’s driving me crazy!’

Fuming, she tugged Shan Xun by the hand and stormed toward the base hospital. "Still so chatty? I guess that bullet wasn’t very deep!"

Shan Xun trailed after the furious Jiang Zheyu. After a moment of silence, he spoke again. "I’m sorry. Please don’t be angry."

But Jiang Zheyu was furious and had no desire to answer him. Once she had dragged him to the base hospital, she turned to leave in a huff.

"Where are you going?" Shan Xun frowned, grabbing Jiang Zheyu’s wrist. "The scene hasn’t been completely secured. We don’t know if any slipped through the cracks. Don’t leave yet."

But Jiang Zheyu was seeing red and refused to listen to a word he said.

She shook off his hand and said coldly, "Don’t worry. I’m just going back to my room to rest."

With that, Jiang Zheyu left.

Shan Xun stared at the arm the female had shaken off, unable to register what had happened for a long moment.

Shan Xun had already destroyed the first Biorobot, but the other one had been hiding in Jiang Zheyu’s room.

Jiang Zheyu couldn’t help but recall what Shan Xun had said at the base hospital—that things weren’t secure yet, that he was worried some might have slipped through, and that she shouldn’t leave.

’Shan Xun was right. One really did slip through.’

’I’m so screwed. If I’d known, I wouldn’t have stormed off in a huff. Now I’ve been caught again.’

’Will Shan Xun come for me?’

Jiang Zheyu had a feeling that if she were captured this time, it would not end well for her. Her heart leaped into her throat.

She felt like she was about to completely lose it.

Just then, a noise came from up ahead.

The door opened, and the flood of light made Jiang Zheyu squint. It was painfully bright, and her eyes struggled to adjust.

Si Yu walked in slowly. He wore a Baise suit as white as snow, and his long, silver hair seemed to catch the light in every smooth strand. Backlit as he was, he looked like a divine messenger.

But Jiang Zheyu knew he was anything but.
