Feng Qi raced back to his room to shower. He absolutely couldn’t let that man have so much time alone with Jiang Yuyu.

"Master, come have something to eat first." Jiang Yi drew near, took Jiang Zheyu’s hand, and led her downstairs.

Jiang Zheyu gave a faint smile and gently squeezed his slender, well-defined fingers, following him down.

The two of them arrived at the table together.

Just then, the front door opened again.

A glint appeared in Jiang Yi’s eyes. He raised a hand to smooth the hair along Jiang Zheyu’s cheek, his fair fingers tucking the dark strands behind her head.

He was leaning in slightly, his gaze lowered as he gently arranged the young woman’s hair.

Jiang Zheyu tilted her head up slightly, her clear, tea-colored eyes gazing luminously at Jiang Yi.

The sight of the tall, slender man arranging the beautiful young woman’s hair was so lovely, and yet, so jarring.

Jiang Zheyu had heard the door open and was about to look over.

"Master, your hair is a mess," Jiang Yi said, cupping the side of her face. "This side is messy too."

As he spoke, he lowered his gaze and tucked the strands behind her ear, then bent down and placed a soft kiss on her earlobe.

"Are you done?" Jiang Zheyu paused, trying to turn her head.

"All done." With a sidelong glance at the person in the doorway, Jiang Yi casually straightened up.

Only then did Jiang Zheyu look toward the door and see Zexun standing in the entryway.

His peach-colored suit was always eye-catching, and the sight of his exquisitely handsome face was even more striking.

He always cut a dapper and elegant figure.

"A Xun, you’re back!" Jiang Zheyu exclaimed, happily rushing over to him.

Zexun’s gaze swept darkly over Jiang Yi, who stood behind Jiang Zheyu, before returning to its usual warm intensity. His red eyes focused on her. "A Yu, are you all right?"

He’d already heard about what had happened these past few days.

"I’m fine now." Jiang Zheyu paused for a moment before realizing what he meant, then shook her head.

"It was a lapse on my part. I was too focused on work. It won’t happen again." Zexun gently caressed her face.

Jiang Zheyu smiled. "It’s okay. Your work is important."

Zexun’s eyes narrowed slightly. ’He had already made up his mind.’

"I’ll be sure to spend more time with you from now on," Zexun said with a passionate smile.

Jiang Zheyu’s lips curved. "Okay."

"Master, who is he?" Jiang Yi’s voice drifted slowly from behind Jiang Zheyu.

Jiang Zheyu turned back to explain, "This is Zexun. And this is Jiang Yi... my new Beast Husband."

"A pleasure." Zexun offered a gentle smile and extended a hand toward Jiang Yi, the picture of propriety and courtesy.

Jiang Yi’s lips also curved into a faint smile as he reached out to shake Zexun’s hand. "A pleasure to meet you."

Neither of their smiles reached their eyes.

Beneath their gentle and polite exteriors, their eyes were frigid and emotionless.

Their hands touched and separated in an instant.

"Master, I’ll go start dinner for you," Jiang Yi said, stroking Jiang Zheyu’s hair before leaning down to kiss the corner of her mouth.

Jiang Zheyu’s cheeks flushed as she nodded.

’There’s another Beast Husband right here... Is it okay to be this intimate?’

Jiang Yi headed into the kitchen.

Zexun gently cupped Jiang Zheyu’s face. His passionate eyes gazed at her, concealing a churning mix of jealousy and discomfort. He spoke softly, "A Yu, I want one too."

Jiang Zheyu, her face held in his hands, still hadn’t quite processed his words.

Zexun’s long fingers pressed slightly into her soft cheeks.

Cupping her face, he pressed his lips to hers, then slowly nipped her bottom lip.

"A Xun, the other two will see," Jiang Zheyu whispered, pushing against him to no avail.

Zexun only deepened the kiss, his voice a gentle, coaxing murmur. "It’s fine. We’re all one family. They won’t mind. Besides, I’ve missed you."

Jiang Zheyu froze. ’She still felt shy, believing things like this were best done in private. It was just too embarrassing with a third person present.’

"Okay, that’s enough," Jiang Zheyu managed, patting Zexun’s arm, the corners of her eyes flushed red.

Zexun simply smiled. "Alright."

Feng Qi walked out to a sight that made his blood boil. In a flash, he was at Jiang Zheyu’s side, shoving Zexun away and pulling her behind him. "Hah! Judge Ze, you’ve got some nerve."

Pushed forcefully, Zexun stumbled back a few steps before quickly steadying himself.

"Captain Feng, it’s been a while since I’ve seen you be so reckless," Zexun said coolly, slowly walking toward him. "And how is kissing my own Female Master ’having some nerve’?"

Feng Qi’s face paled. He looked at Jiang Zheyu, his voice full of grievance. "This pretty boy is useless aside from his face. What do you even like about him?"

He then added sullenly, "Are there any more? I need to prepare myself mentally."

Jiang Zheyu didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. "This is it for now. There are no more."

"You’re still thinking about taking on more Beast Husbands?" Feng Qi said darkly, ruffling Jiang Zheyu’s hair. "I won’t allow it. Or else I’ll cry right here and now."

Jiang Zheyu blinked. "Does Captain Feng cry when he’s interrogating criminals, too?"

Feng Qi raised an eyebrow. "I’ll only cry for you, in secret."

"Oh?" Jiang Zheyu’s interest was piqued.

"Do you want to take on a new Beast Husband, or do you just want to see me cry?" Feng Qi gently pinched Jiang Zheyu’s cheek. "I can cry for you, but as for a new Beast Husband? Not a chance."

His threat sounded less like a threat and more like a doting, petulant complaint.

Jiang Zheyu let out a soft laugh.

"If you want to hear me cry, that’s fine. I’ll warm your bed tonight," Feng Qi said, raising an eyebrow and tilting his head at Jiang Zheyu.

Zexun suddenly reached out, took Jiang Zheyu’s hand, and produced a small gift box with his other. "I brought you a present. Open it and see if you like it."

Jiang Zheyu pushed away the clowning Feng Qi, her attention immediately shifting to the gift box in her hand.

Seeing this, Feng Qi’s eyebrow twitched violently.

’That guy actually brought back a gift! I didn’t bring anything. I’ve been one-upped!’

And just as he’d feared, Jiang Yuyu’s attention was completely captivated by the gift.

Standing behind Jiang Zheyu, Feng Qi gritted his teeth as he watched the smiling Zexun.

Jiang Zheyu opened the box. Inside was a bracelet adorned with small, pink roses. It was exquisite.

She smiled at Zexun. "It’s beautiful. I love it."

"Here, let me put it on for you." Zexun took the bracelet from the box, took Jiang Zheyu’s wrist, and fastened it for her.

"I own a bracelet shop. You can go and pick out whichever one you like," Feng Qi said, his tone sour as he watched Jiang Zheyu’s delighted expression.

"A gift chosen by someone else is more thoughtful," Zexun said leisurely, holding Jiang Zheyu’s hand and lightly touching one of the small pink roses with his fingertip. "Isn’t that right, A Yu?"

The small pink rose swayed gently.
