Shan Xun rushed to the doctor’s office. In a fiery haste, he kicked the door down and stormed into the room.

Out of the corner of her eye, Jiang Zheyu saw the silver metal door get kicked clean off its hinges. It crashed to the floor with a deafening BANG.

The next second, Shan Xun was striding over the fallen door, his heavy footsteps sharp and deliberate.

Jiang Zheyu’s heart skipped a beat.

’That scared me to death!’

’So loud... It was like he was charging in to start a fight.’

Shan Xun placed her on the examination bed, but his movements were surprisingly gentle, as if she were suffering from some grave illness.

The Beastman Doctor, who had been sitting at his desk, jumped in fright at the commotion.

The Beastman Doctor checked her again and again with his advanced equipment but still couldn’t find anything wrong.

The Beastman Doctor started to doubt himself and ran the tests one more time.

"How is she?" Shan Xun asked.

The Beastman Doctor hesitated for a moment before saying, "I’ll prescribe some tonics for the female."

"What does that mean?" Shan Xun frowned. "Is she physically weak right now?"

"Not really. There’s nothing physically wrong with the female," the Beastman replied honestly.

"What about her spiritual power?" Shan Xun pressed.

"There are no issues with the female’s spiritual power either." The Beastman gave a dry laugh, stopping just short of saying that the female was in perfect health.

In the end, Jiang Zheyu left the base’s hospital with a bottle of tonics.

Shan Xun was still frowning. "Are you sure your spiritual power is fine? You’re not affected after healing so many Beastmen?"

"I’m fine." Jiang Zheyu gave a helpless smile. "Didn’t the Star Emperor tell you? My spiritual power is actually above Level 3S."

Shan Xun knew, of course, but he hadn’t expected a female with that Spiritual Power Level to be so formidable.

"How many Beastmen did you heal?" Shan Xun had only seen her standing there, seemingly for the entire afternoon.

"All the Beastmen in that lab are healed. You can have someone from the Research Institute go check on them if you want to see for yourself," Jiang Zheyu replied casually.

"Y-You’re that powerful?" Shan Xun was still in shock.

He had thought it would take Jiang Zheyu at least a month to purify all the Beastmen in a single lab.

But it hadn’t even been a full day. In fact, the female had healed the damaged spiritual power of a hundred Beastmen in just half a day.

It was the first time Jiang Zheyu had seen a trace of undisguised shock on Shan Xun’s fierce face. It actually made him look a little less intimidating.

"Are you that shocked?" Jiang Zheyu couldn’t help but let out a soft laugh.

Shan Xun stared at the female’s smile, unable to look away. He just gazed at her directly before asking blankly, "What are you laughing at?"

"By the way, you broke that man’s door. Aren’t you going to pay for it?" Jiang Zheyu asked quietly.

"I’ll have a Beastman go over later to install a new one for him," Shan Xun replied.

"Is your temper always this bad?" Jiang Zheyu asked quietly. "Ahem, I mean, this explosive?"

"How is my temper explosive?" Shan Xun glanced at Jiang Zheyu, his tone sounding a bit like he was grinding his teeth. "I was worried about you, that’s why I was so rash. And you say I have an explosive temper?"

His mood soured again.

For some reason, this female could always destabilize his emotions so easily.

’Annoying. Females are so much trouble!’

Jiang Zheyu paused, then quickly said, "W-Well, thank you then. I was really fine, though."

Shan Xun coldly turned his head away, no longer looking at Jiang Zheyu. He didn’t want to say another word to her.
