Bai Ruo gave her Beast Husband a warning look before slowly walking out.

She composed herself, opened the main door, and walked out. "My apologies," she said gently to the investigators. "I was feeling a bit unwell just now, which is why I’m so late."

Seeing the female’s cooperative attitude, the investigators’ expressions softened. After all, she was one of the top ten most desirable Female Masters among Beastmen.

They hadn’t actually found anything concrete yet, and the rumors on the Star Network were not definitive proof.

"We’ll need your Beast Husband to come with us as well," an investigator said slowly.

Bai Ruo paused. She lowered her gaze, her expression unreadable, and gave a slight nod. "Very well."

Meanwhile, Su Yan had just returned home to find it unusually quiet.

At the same time, a new message appeared on his Light Brain: "Imperial Special Investigation Department Notice: You are required to report to the Department today to assist with an investigation."

Su Yan fell silent for a moment before leaving the villa once more. He boarded a hovercraft and headed for the Special Investigation Department.

Jiang Zheyu felt her scalp tingle with tension. "Yes," she said with difficulty. "I abused my Beast Husband."

’This was the first time Feng Qi had ever interrogated someone like this. The young woman’s eyes screamed that she hadn’t abused her Beast Husband, yet it was as if she were being forced to confess to it.’

"I’ll ask again. Did you abuse your Beast Husband?" Feng Qi repeated, his tone cold.

Jiang Zheyu’s brow furrowed slightly. ’I’ve already admitted it twice. Why is he still asking? Does he not believe me?’

"I did," Jiang Zheyu said slowly, uttering the two words.

Feng Qi gave her a long, hard look before walking out. He instructed the guards outside, "Have her recount everything that’s been said online, from beginning to end."

The guard outside replied, "Yes, Captain Qi."

In contrast to Jiang Zheyu’s direct admission, Bai Ruo forced a smile, her eyes betraying her impatience. "I’ve already told you. I have never abused my Beast Husband, nor have I harmed any Beastman. How many more times do you need me to say it?"

The two interrogators exchanged a look and put down their pens. "Very well, Miss Bai. Please wait here. We will release you as soon as we have sufficient evidence."

「In another interrogation room.」

Feng Qi paused, his gloveless hand hovering in the air. His dark, deep-set eyes shifted to Su Yan as he slowly tapped the table. "Oh? Is that so?"

"If you’re referring to my Female Master whipping me, that’s merely a bit of playfulness between Beast Mates," Su Yan replied, watching Feng Qi steadily. The emotion in his eyes was impossible to discern.

Feng Qi scoffed. "So Commander Su has a playful side, does he?"

Su Yan merely frowned, saying nothing.

"You should know the rules," Feng Qi said, his gaze turning sharp and serious. "In an interrogation room, you must be completely truthful. If you lie, the consequences will be different."

Su Yan, however, remained firm. "It was just a game between my Female Master and me."

Feng Qi gave a cold laugh. Deciding not to press further, he left the room.

’These people,’ he thought. ’They never talk until you present them with evidence.’

"Captain Qi, Elder Bai has requested to see you," a subordinate reported respectfully.

"Not interested," Feng Qi replied coldly, walking away.

’He’d always known about the inherent rottenness of these females. He just never had the opportunity to expose it. Now, that opportunity had arrived.’

「Night fell.」

Bai Ruo could no longer sit still. She strode to the interrogation room door and pounded on it, her tone harsh. "How much longer are you going to keep me in here?"

A group of soldiers in black uniforms quickly entered and seized Bai Ruo. "Upon investigation, Miss Bai, you have been implicated in multiple cases involving the deaths of Beastmen. You are now being transferred to the prison at the Female Office."

’Bai Ruo couldn’t believe it. How could this be happening?’

’Why were they still taking her to the Female Office’s prison?’

"You... let me go!" Bai Ruo struggled.

But her struggles were futile. She was dragged away.

Elsewhere, Jiang Zheyu was also escorted by soldiers in black to the Female Office.

Jiang Zheyu was locked in a cell. She quietly called out to the guard who was about to leave. "Excuse me, sir. Do you know when the sentence will be handed down? What crime have I been convicted of?"

The guard looked at the beautiful female, remembering how much money he’d spent on her online profile. ’If only she weren’t Jiang Zheyu,’ he thought, ’I’d really want to be her Beast Husband.’

"I don’t know either," the guard said slowly. "But Captain Qi has already gathered the evidence. It seems he intends to use this case to change the Star Citizen laws. He’s already contacted all the elders, councilors, and legal officials."

Hearing this, Jiang Zheyu felt a deeper sense of despair. She nodded. "I see. Thank you."

The guard paused, still finding it hard to believe. ’The female was so gentle and polite. How could she possibly abuse her Beast Husband and other Beastmen?’

Jiang Zheyu sat cross-legged on the floor, picked up a loose stone, and started drawing circles on the ground, looking like a wilting mushroom. "They’re killing the chicken to scare the monkey, and Bai Ruo and I are the chicken."
