He had been swamped for the past couple of months since he had come back from America. Since Tanaga had been out of the picture, he was convalescing. He was now the one running the THJ Group as the interim CEO of the company.

For the past couple of months since the day his father went missing, he had been cleaning up all the dirty jobs he had been doing behind the scene.

His mother had filed for the divorce already, which wasn’t surprising, and on the ground of abandonment. The divorce had already been granted, and she was now gallivanting around the world at the expense of THJ Group, along with his younger brother, the President of THJ Entertainment.

President Kai Hanada had finally given up Ohani Yamaguchi and had agreed to marry an heiress from an entertainment company in Korea, and his mother and brother were now in Korea, already preparing for the big wedding.

People around him were moving on, but for him, everything was stagnant. He went to work every day, kept himself busy with various projects to keep his mind occupied, and this was all done to keep his mind away from the one woman in his heart that already belonged to someone else - Ashley Gusman. The very first woman he fell in love with. Her beauty was so innocent and sweet, yet full of laughter. But unfortunately, already married to his cold-hearted cousin.

Mostly, his tactics were successful. During the day, especially when he was busy, he forgot her for the time being.

However, once he was all alone in his bedroom at night, his mind would be filled with her, and all the memories from the time they shared. He would envision her beautiful face, innocent eyes, and those succulent red lips that he had once dreamt of kissing.

As Koji prepared to end his day, he turned off his computer and was about to leave when his phone rang. It was the investigator he had hired to check on Ashley and Tanaga’s current relationship. He had been curious about them ever since she found out that she had a child. Not only one, but two children, no less. It was a guarantee that the children had Tanaga’s blood, but he hadn’t yet known about the true story behind Ashley’s and Tanaga’s marriage.

Well, he was about to find out.

He grabbed his cellphone and slid his finger on the screen to answer the incoming call.

"I hope you have good news? It’s been a while, and I haven’t heard any good news, so speak!" He said, demanding.

"Yes, sir! I do indeed have wonderful news, and this might make you much happier. I just sent you a file attachment to your email. Kindly open it and you tell me if it’s actually good news," the investigator informed Koji.

When he heard what the investigator said, he quickly returned to his desk and turned on his computer. What was this good news he was talking about?

While he was waiting for his computer to boot up, he tapped his mouse, really excited to see what the investigator said was ’good news’.

"Come on, come on..." He said as he stared at the computer screen, slowly coming to life.

Once the computer was fully booted, he quickly clicked to see the attachment the investigator had sent. Koji nervously downloaded it to open the file.

His heart was beating so fast that he felt like he was about to get a heart attack.

When the document finally opened, his eyes widened, and he slumped down against his office chair.

"What the heck is this?" He asked himself, as the investigator on the other line heard his question.

"President Hanada! President Hanada, can you hear me?" Asked the investigator on the other line, unsure if Koji could actually hear him.

"Yes! I can hear you! No need to shout, give me a moment to process the new information."

He then took a few deep breaths to return back to his senses. He stared at the document on the screen for a while before he finally spoke, "Where did you get this document? Is this really legitimate? This couldn’t possibly be true, can it?" Koji could feel the adrenaline pumping inside his body, and he couldn’t control himself when asking these questions.

"President Hanada, if you don’t mind, I wouldn’t mind doing the full report over a drink, or two. Why don’t we go to a club? I could be there in fifteen minutes or so," offered the investigator.

Koji nodded.

"Yes, of course. Send me the address, and I’ll be there soon. Goodbye!" He greeted as he printed a copy of the attachment, placing it in an envelope before placing it in his safe. He then turned off his computer, making sure no one could see the attachment.

Once he was confident that all was safe and secured, he grabbed his jacket and left to meet the investigator.

Thirty minutes later, Koji was happy with the report he had received from his investigator. He had even more proof of the truth.

He learned everything, everything from the beginning, everything that had happened from the day Ashley Gusman left the Philippines and arrived in Japan.

With full determination, Koji had quickly booked a flight to America to pay a visit to the woman who owned his heart with a plan to win hers.

President Sanches has a wide grin plastered on his handsome face as he approaches the vehicle that just arrived. He couldn’t believe his luck. He was there to pay a visit to Ashley and who he would run into, but President Koji Hanada.

Koji saw Alden approaching the vehicle, and he wasn’t sure if he should be happy or upset to meet him here in Houston. He’s wondering why Alden would be there? Could it be that he’s also interested in Ashley? With that thought, his brows rose, and he had a scowl on his face when he stepped out of the vehicle to greet him.

"President Sanches! What a surprise to meet with you here in Houston. What brought you here this early in the morning?" Greeted Koji with a straight face.

Alden, who has a wide grin still plastered on his face, greeted him back with a light embrace. "Well, well, well! Who would have thought that we would meet here today? I have a business meeting with President Jones, and it seems that she’s not in at the moment. I was about to head back to the hotel and check-in first; why don’t you have breakfast with me?"

When Koji heard that Ashley was not in the office, he thought of going to their home. However, he didn’t feel it would be appropriate to that without an invitation or a notice. He would do that later in the evening and hoped to get invited for dinner as well. Meanwhile, he might as well spend some time and talk business with President Sanches.

"Sure! Which hotel will you be staying in? I will meet you there." Said Koji as he already began to enter his vehicle.

Alden mentioned the name of the hotel he would be staying in. THE Group owns the hotel, and it’s the same one where he would be staying. "I’ll be staying in the same hotel, and I know where it is. I will meet you there then." He then proceeded to enter his vehicle without giving Alden another glance.

Not a minute that they had left, Tanaka Jones with Mikito arrived coming from the port to inspect one of their vessels. When the security guard informed Tanaka of someone coming and supposed to have a business meeting with him, he was lost. As far as he knows, there’s no business meeting with anyone at the moment.

"Thank you!" He said as he continued to his office to check the planner that Ashley had provided him. He wished that Ashley’s secretary and assistant would arrive back so they could handle his schedule. He’s been in a mess with his time ever since he started without anyone assisting him in his duties.

His wish had come true when lunchtime came, and Sato’s loud voice could be heard from outside of his office. Tanaka quickly got up to see who it could be when the door opened, and Sato and Fumika entered like it’s their domain.

Sato and Fumika know that Ashley was not in the office, and they were just going to drop all the files to her desk and leave. They were in for a shock when they saw Tanaka sitting behind the desk, thinking it’s Tanaga.

"Oh, my bad! Good afternoon Mr. Jones!" Sato greeted while bowing slightly.

"Good afternoon, Mr. Jones!" Fumika said as he followed Sato’s actions and also bowed.

Tanaka, who was surprised for a moment, got his bearings and greeted them back with a confused look on his face. "Good afternoon to you two as well! And who you might be?"

They were never formally introduced and never met in person. Both had mistaken him for Tanaga, and Tanaka thought they knew that he was not his brother. The confusion was on Fumika and Sato’s face when they heard Tanaka asking who they are?

"Oh, no! Please, don’t tell me that you have lost your memory again?" Exclaimed Sato while his hands were covering his mouth and his eyes were as wide as a saucer.

Fumika looked straight at Tanaka, eyes wide open and mouth wide agape.

Tanaka, on the other hand, was extremely confused. He clearly heard them call him Mr. Jones, so he assumed that they knew who he was? But why when he asked who they were, the man exclaimed, and the girl was shocked? What’s going on?

Then he thought of how they had called him, ’Sir Jones’ it doesn’t mean. To make everything clear. Tanaka stood up and approached the two who were still in shock.
