I Summoned Demon and Angel in Cultivation World

Chapter 6: Power Levels

"What? Never saw a talking cat?"

The cat sneered as it started licking its leg.

Seeing this, Tyler rubbed his hair, pulling it tightly.

"No, this doesn’t make sense. If you are capable of speech, why couldn’t you break out of my hands before?"

The cat raised his head and pointed at his stomach.

"I am not like that idiot Demon King, Meow! When I am summoned to a completely new world, I don’t go around releasing my power, Meow."

"In fact, I felt the restriction in my body the moment I appeared. So, my first task was transforming all of my power into the power of this world, Meow!"

"Strangely enough, there are a lot of things I am capable of doing."

The cat swept its paw, releasing three wind blades towards the wall.

Crack! Crack! Crack!

In an instant, three slash marks appeared on the wall, chipping away some of the concrete.

"Tsk! Tsk! Your world is quite weird. Even though I have the power of Wind, I can’t use it to its fullest extent without understanding it."

"How do you understand it? Like, isn’t it just the movement of air? How much do I need to understand it?"

"And what kind of energy is floating around me? All of my original strength transformed into a bloodline."

"I understand bloodline, but what I don’t understand is why I have to absorb this energy and turn it into another kind of energy."

"It’s like you can’t even generate your own power and have to rely on the surrounding energy to get stronger."

The cat continued rambling, and Tyler listened, carefully taking note of everything it said.

After it finished speaking, it turned towards Tyler and said.

"Hey, you are the one who summoned me here, Meow. Tell me, why do I need to absorb this energy? Why can’t my body generate energy on its own?"

Tyler paused for a moment and chuckled.

"It’s because cultivation is just like business. You can start a company, gain a large profit through your effort, and use that profit to improve the company."

"In your world, were you some kind of powerful monster?"

"Yokai! I was a Spirit Being, capable of destroying a city like this with a flick of my paw, Meow."

The cat proudly answered.

Tyler nodded.

"As a spirit being, you awakened the ability, and you must have trained to master it, right?"

The cat nodded.

Tyler continued.

"This world functions a bit differently. You can be born with special abilities, but even then, you have to comprehend their true powers."

"For example, I awakened the Five Elemental Spiritual Root, which allowed me to use the power of all five elements."

"But without comprehending them, I could barely form a proper fireball. The more I comprehend the Fire element, the less consuming and stronger my fireball will be."

"By the way, I got two abilities from those two. Why didn’t I receive anything from you?"

Hearing that, the cat instantly appeared in front of Tyler and slapped him. Although it was a slap, it didn’t even scratch Tyler.

"Idiot! How am I supposed to know that? You are the summoner. Shouldn’t you know this, Meow?"

Tyler couldn’t help but feel exasperated. He had no idea how his system worked. He had to figure out the system functions by himself.

Fortunately, it stopped his summoned beings from harming him.

"But considering that I just slapped you, as long as my actions do not hurt you, your summoning ability will see me as your summon."

"So, it didn’t strip me of my abilities. Thinking about it, if you had summoned the angel first, she might not have left you, Meow."

Thinking about it, Tyler felt speechless. It was true. If he hadn’t received the Demon King Bloodline, she wouldn’t be disgusted by him.

"But didn’t you also try to struggle in my arms?"

Tyler asked.

The cat gave him a confused look.

"Aren’t you a smart guy? Why don’t you figure it out yourself, Meow?"

Tyler rolled his eyes. He never thought he was a smart man. If he were, he wouldn’t have been unable to comprehend Five Elements.

Sometimes he truly hoped his actual intelligence had nothing to do with comprehension.

’Now that I think about it, this cat did say it was trying to convert its power?’

"So, you were busy with converting your power and didn’t plan to leave my side?"

Tyler asked.

The cat snapped, almost all of its fur rose as it said.

"Are you kidding me, Meow? Why would I plan to stay by your side, Meow? If I wasn’t worried about losing my ability, I would’ve left a long time ago, Meow!"

Hearing its furious tone, Tyler hurriedly raised his hand.

"Calm down, okay! I was just kidding."

The cat slowly calmed down and sneered.

"I am not like that idiot Demon King, Meow! This Yokai has a plan, so until this plan is completed, I will stay with you, Meow!"

Tyler rolled his eyes and said.

"That reminds me! What do you think that Demon King will do?"

The cat rolled its eyes and said.

"He is a Demon King. What do you think he will do? What kind of person do you think he is?"

Tyler paused for a moment and answered.

"He is the kind of person who, walking down the street, sees someone looking at him and runs up to that person, choking him before delivering a powerful line."

"[Did you just glare at me? I will destroy you.] And whoosh! That person is gone."

The cat nodded.

"So, it won’t be long before you start hearing his news. By the way, there is something I need to remind you of."

"In my world, there is no such thing as Demon King or Angel. All abnormal beings are the Yokai."

"Of course, Yokai are also good and bad. Good Yokai often form a pact with humans to stop bad Yokai since humans are pretty weak."

There was a tone of disgust when he mentioned the humans of his world.

Tyler paused and said.

"So, I guess you are yourself, neither evil nor good. You are not defined by others but by yourself!"

His words rang like a bell of flattery. The cat proudly raised his head and nodded.

"That’s right! You have good eyes."

"Wait a minute! So, that’s why you didn’t leave immediately. You thought I summoned you to form a pact."

The next moment, that cat immediately became furious.

"What do you mean? Do you think I can’t recognize when I am being called to another world?"

"I said I only stayed with you because I was converting my power."

Tyler frantically nodded.

"Right! Right!"

"By the way, that also explains why the angel couldn’t recognize him. Although she did recognize the Demon King Bloodline."

Tyler spoke.

The cat clicked its tongue and said.

"That woman was insanely powerful, but most of the power was suppressed immediately."

"If that Demon King was the personification of Destruction, she felt like a sword that was ready to cut anything."

"I can hardly connect her with the myths about angels and their incredible healing capabilities."

Tyler shrugged his shoulders.

"I guess her world needs more swords than healing. Didn’t she say she was the Light of Justice?"

"Let’s not talk about them. I have something important to do."

He quickly ran to his closet and took out a strange yellow paper.

"Is that Talisman? Wait, why are you coming so close?"

The cat couldn’t help but feel frightened by the sight of the talisman.

This surprised Tyler. He shook his head, placing his Qi into the talisman and slapping it on his forehead.

"Look!"

At this moment, a number appeared on the surface of the talisman.

[7]

Tyler quickly pulled it out and saw the number. His eyes widened.

"Wow! The physical buff from Demon King Bloodline increased my strength by three power levels."

"I now have the power level of 7. That’s amazing for someone at the Third Stage of the Qi Refining Realm."

Hearing his words, the cat calmed down.

"Oh! So, you are checking the power level? Didn’t I tell you I could easily destroy a town of this size?"

Tyler nodded.

"That would put you at Third-Tier Beast Level. But right now, your power level should’ve been changed."

"This talisman analyzes your physical strength, blood Qi, and abilities before giving them certain numbers."

"Then, it does some calculations and comes up with a certain power level. Normally, it isn’t that hard to calculate it by yourself."

"But using a talisman makes it true."

Saying so, he infused his Qi into the talisman, and the number from the talisman suddenly disappeared.

After that, he placed the talisman on the cat’s forehead and waited.

Unlike his power level, the talisman was taking some time to calculate the cat’s power level.

"How long will it take?"

"Wait, a few more seconds!"

Just as he said, two numbers appeared on the talisman.

[185]
