I Summoned Demon and Angel in Cultivation World

Chapter 34: Spear Vs Sword Part 2

Just like Prem, Tyler also wanted to win. But winning this battle was easier said than done.

Of course, if he revealed his Light Energy, he could win.

Light Energy’s enhancement was not only better than Flame Martial Body, but it also improved his Sword Qi.

So, that kind of boost was more than enough to handle Prem.

But he didn’t want to use it. There were two primary reasons. First, Tyler didn’t think Prem was powerful enough to let him use it.

With his cultivation suppressed, Prem’s Qi was powerful but not much better than his Sword Qi. His moves were also advanced but not much better than his.

More importantly, Prem wasn’t a body cultivator. He relied more on speed than anything.

That’s the second reason why he didn’t want to use Light Energy. If he could figure out a way to block Prem’s speed, he didn’t need that power.

More importantly, this would also improve his fighting strength.

Whoosh!

Prem’s spear came out of nowhere, almost stabbing him through the chest.

But this time, Tyler saw his Qi through the spiritual sense and dodged it to the side while kicking the spear’s shaft.

The spear wiggled in his hand, but Prem didn’t let go. Instead, he swept it towards Tyler at extreme speed.

When Tyler saw this, his eyes narrowed.

’He is controlling the air around him. By doing this, he can remove the air from his pathway and create a frictionless movement.’

’But this also means it doesn’t have much strength.’

Tyler used his sword to block the spear.

They quickly turned the contest of speed and strength into a contest of skills.

Prem started attacking Tyler with various spear moves, where he would thrust, sweep, and block with his spear.

Tyler was barely keeping up with his pace. Those thrusts were extremely fast, while sweeps were more predictable.

Every time he tried to cut through Prem, he would use the shaft or head of the spear to block.

Ding! Ding! Ding! Ding!

Their collisions created sparks and impacts. Each strike was aimed for their vital spots; each thrust was for killing their opponent.

Even though they didn’t have much hatred for each other, their moves said otherwise.

"These are two pushing their limits."

The golden core elder couldn’t help but feel speechless. Just because he asked them to go all out, they wanted to kill each other.

Although he could see they were perfectly controlling their strength so that they could pull back their attacks if the opponent gave up.

He still felt it was a bit of an overkill for a battle like this.

"Wow! I can’t even see their movements. Are they just at Qi Refining Realm, not Foundation Establishment Realm?"

"I guess this is the power of geniuses. We, normal people, can’t measure up to their strength."

"Now that I think about it, they were using spells without hand signs, incantation, or even a slight pause."

"That means they have reached perfection with their spells. Although Senior Tyler seems more attuned to different spells than Senior Prem."

The crowd was going haywire in shock. For inner court students, this battle wasn’t that exciting.

But for new students, it was an absolute cinema. Their heartbeat soared, and they also wanted to participate in a battle like this.

"Hey, Alice! Did you know Tyler was this strong?"

Katie spoke in disbelief.

"No!"

Alice murmured. Her eyes also showed confusion and disbelief as she looked at Tyler’s situation.

Although she knew Tyler already had eighteen vortices, he wasn’t using his Light element.

That meant he was relying on nine vortices of Five Elements and Sword Qi to fight a genius like Prem.

What’s even scarier was that Prem joined the sect the same year as she did.

"Hey, did you notice? This boy is holding back."

A Golden Core Elder murmured.

"No wonder the Supreme Elder would accept him as a disciple. It has been like three months, and he is competing with Prem."

Another Golden Core Elder spoke.

"Tsk! You are blinded by his current performance. Don’t forget Prem is holding back ninety percent of his strength."

"Not to mention his Mid Stage Foundation Establishment Realm cultivation; he hadn’t even used the second stage of Wind and Fire Elements."

Hearing that, the previous golden core elder nodded.

"Indeed! He is only using the first stage of Wind Element in this battle. It seems like his resentment is slowly dissipating."

In fact, it wasn’t just them who noticed this.

Tyler also remembered Prem’s talent.

He had two Spiritual Roots, both at Earth Rank. That meant he wouldn’t just focus on one element.

So, the fact that he was only using one element meant he was holding back a lot.

While clashing their weapons, Tyler asked.

"Hey, why aren’t you using Fire Element?"

Prem indignantly replied.

"Then, why aren’t you using Light Element?"

Tyler sweatdropped.

"You remembered?"

"I am not an idiot. Your most powerful talent is Light Spiritual Root, but from the beginning to now, you have not used that element."

"You are infuriating."

Prem angrily shouted.

Tyler kept parrying his attacks while replying.

"Hmm! Then, I will use something else. Let’s see if you can keep up with this."

[Five Elements Dharma- Fire Dharma Wheel]

As he uttered those chants, a large amount of Fire Qi burst out of his body and turned into a wheel behind his head.

The sheer presence of that wheel added intense aura to Tyler’s body, increasing his strength and power of his Fire Qi.

In an instant, his Flame Martial Body got at least two times boost.

"Damn it!"

Prem cursed.

’This must be a secret technique of his cultivation technique. No wonder his five elements are so much stronger despite having the lowest-tier of spiritual root.’

Despite saying that, Prem didn’t lose his confidence. While he might not have a secret technique of this level, he still had Fire Law.

Although it was regrettable that he couldn’t force Tyler to use Light Element, he knew he was already suppressing most of his strength.

The fire Qi burst out of his feet, instantly increasing his speed by another level.

Before Tyler’s spiritual sense could keep track of him, Prem appeared on his right and swept his spear towards Tyler’s neck.

When it got closer, Tyler suddenly ducked.

This surprised Prem as his eyes widened.

Tyler chuckled, raised his leg, and kicked Prem on his wrist.

This forced him back as Tyler gripped the hilt of his sword tightly and rushed towards Prem with a thrust.

His sword tore through the air barrier as it reached Prem’s neck.

Just when Tyler thought he had won, a barrier of wind appeared before his neck, blocking the wind thrust.

Seeing this, Tyler instantly backed away, but his eyes showed confusion as Prem raised his hand.

"I give up."
