I Summoned Demon and Angel in Cultivation World

Chapter 21: Badge

Jonathan took out a piece of grass and gave it to Tyler.

When Tyler held this grass in his hand, he felt something strange. His skin was being pricked by tiny needles, but it was just smooth grass.

"Teacher, what is this?"

Tyler couldn’t help but feel amazed by the feeling, but he also feared its power.

"Sword Spirit Grass! It is a unique grass that only grows under the influence of a swordsman with powerful Sword Intent."

"You can try to communicate with this grass through nothing but your thoughts. Once you are successful, you will find your path in swordsmanship."

Hearing that, Tyler nodded and placed the grass inside his Spatial Ring.

Jonathan raised his hand, pointing his finger towards Tyler. A red light emerged from his finger and fell on his forehead.

Tyler didn’t react. If Jonathan wanted to do something, there was nothing he could do to stop him.

"This light will guide you to the Steward of the Inner Court. He will show you a place to live, help you with your belongings, and give you a proper rundown of the sect."

Hearing that, Tyler nodded, bowed his head, and said.

"Goodbye, teacher!"

Jonathan simply nodded and closed his eyes.

Tyler left the cave. As soon as he was outside, he felt some movement in a small bag.

"Wait a minute! I haven’t reached my room."

Tyler muttered as he patted the bag.

This was a Beast Storage Bag. Unlike a normal Storage Bag, it has an airflow array that allows living beings to survive inside.

It also contained a stable space just like the Spatial Ring. Sean gave him earlier to keep Shiro.

Although Shiro’s presence could be accepted by the sect, he wasn’t allowed to let it move around the sect.

So, he had no choice but to keep Shiro inside the Beast Storage Bag.

As the bag became silent, Tyler followed a red light in front of his eyes. Nearly twenty minutes later, he reached a small building.

He knocked on the door a few times until a man walked out. He wore a green robe and a bamboo hat.

"Who are you?"

He stared rudely at Tyler with a displeased expression and asked.

Tyler didn’t care about his displeasure. He pointed at his forehead, and a red light appeared in front of Tyler.

This light quickly transformed into Jonathan.

"Supreme Elder!"

When the man in the green robe saw Jonathan, his legs went weak as he knelt on the ground.

"This is Tyler Kent. He is my personal disciple. You know what to do."

Saying so, Jonathan’s figure disappeared.

Only then did the man in a green robe stand up. He no longer showed any rude expression; instead, he quickly apologized.

"Please forgive my insolent attitude! My name is Joseph."

Tyler nodded.

Joseph felt a bit cold, but he quickly showed a cheerful smile and said.

"Student Tyler, I will take you to the General Registration Hall. Let’s go!"

He couldn’t help but feel a bit flustered.

Seeing his attitude, Tyler calmly replied.

"Mr. Joseph, there is no need to be nervous. It’s clear that you were busy with something, and I disturbed you."

"I am not some kind of unreasonable guy."

Hearing his words, Joseph released a deep breath.

"Thank you for not taking offense at my attitude!"

He asked Tyler to follow him as he walked towards a separate area from the other courts.

While walking, Joseph kept pointing at different mountains.

"You see those mountains there. Most of them are residential areas for students. That mountain with no peak."

He pointed at the mountain far into the distance with similar mountains on the side and continued.

"It has over ten thousand rooms; each room is allocated to an Outer Disciple. The mountains on its side are currently empty."

Then, he pointed at the nearby mountains.

"These are the houses for Inner Court Disciple. Every disciple has a separate cave, but each mountain can have around twenty to fifty caves."

"It might feel strange living in a cave, but for cultivators, it creates a habit. So whenever they are outside, they can simply live in any kind of cave."

"After all, forty percent of the world is covered in mountain peaks and hills. This will be your mountain."

"But we still need to register your identity before giving you a cave. By the way, each cave has a special Energy Absorbing Array."

"Each mountain has an individual Spirit Vein, allowing the inner court disciples to fully enjoy the benefits of large spiritual energy."

Hearing that, Tyler couldn’t help but show some excitement.

This was the true difference between a family and a sect.

Just the fact that one mountain had one Spirit Vein proved its superiority to the family. After all, there was only one Spirit Vein in their entire town.

Although, due to them being the strongest family, the Kent Family was on top of that Spirit Vein.

"By the way, if you ever become a Core Student, you can live in those three mountains."

He pointed at three mountains, all three equal in height.

The outer-court mountain had not a single tree. It also didn’t have a peak.

The inner-court mountain had few trees, but they were mainly kept around the roadside.

The core-court mountain also had very few trees, but it also had several large pillars and houses.

Even from a distance, one could see several mansions in those mountains.

"Of course, as the disciple of the Supreme Elder, you possess the rights and status of a Core student and Inner Court Elder."

"As long as you don’t kill other students, you can do whatever you want. More importantly, you can also take three Outer-court students as your servants."

"Of course, consent is necessary. You also don’t need to do other missions, as you will get five thousand contribution points every month."

"Inner Court Disciples and Core Court Disciples are often encouraged to put most of their efforts into improving their cultivation."

"Even Outer Court Disciples receive a hundred contribution points per month. This isn’t even enough for them to buy food for a month."

Hearing that, Tyler understood the clear difference between different courts and their status in the sect.

It turned out most of the work was done by the Outer Court Disciples while Inner Court and Core Court received the most benefits.

No wonder his sister was so excited to become an Inner Court Disciple before.

"We’ve arrived."

Joseph stood in front of an ancient-looking building with blue jade tiles and yellow-colored wooden walls.

Unlike in other places, Tyler saw very few people here.

Joseph noticed the look on his face and explained.

"The sect will start accepting students in three months. So, this place only gets overcrowded during that time."

"Most of the time, very few students come here to either leave the sect or advance into the higher court."

He took Tyler inside and walked up to a table where an old man was sitting with his legs on the table, his eyes closed.

"Hey Caocao! I brought Supreme Elder’s student."

"Hmm? HMMMM!"

"Ahem! Ahem! Hello, Student!"

At first, the old man didn’t react, but as his brain accepted those words, his reaction became quite intense.

He jumped to his feet and greeted Tyler with a large grin on his face, showing the lack of front teeth.

"Don’t mind his attitude! Everyone shows great respect for the Supreme Elders!"

Joseph sneered at the old man.

"This is Tyler Kent. Register his identity as an Inner Court Disciple with Core Court Badge."

Then, he quickly turned towards Tyler and said.

"There are three kinds of badges in the sect: Bronze, Silver, and Gold."

"Whether it is for elders or disciples, they all possess the badge of different levels. Badge determines your rewards and status."

Hearing that, Tyler nodded while the old man took out a golden token the size of his palm.

Then, he started writing on top of the badge, using his Qi. After a minute, he put the badge in front of Tyler and said.

"Drop your blood on this!"

Tyler bit his finger, and a drop of blood fell on top of the badge. In an instant, the blood was pulled into the badge.

Soon, strange markings appeared on top of the badge.

Tyler couldn’t help but feel strangely familiar with this marking, as if he had seen it a long time ago.

"This is your QR code. It registers your cultivation realm, contribution points, missions, and special achievements."

"I have already written your current contribution points, but from next time, you will automatically receive your monthly contribution points."

The old man took out a cap and placed it above his badge. Suddenly, a projection appeared above the badge, showing exactly what he said.

The old man continued.

"By the way, you can use your achievements to get special benefits for free!"
