I Summoned Demon and Angel in Cultivation World

Chapter 23: History of Two Supreme Elders

"This array handles lighting, air, water tabs, toilet, and much more. You can even modify this array plate into a large screen."

"By the way, you can control this array plate with voice command; so when you infuse your Qi, it will ask for voice registration."

"Every modification will cost you, and just modifying this won’t help. You have to buy array flags separately for each modification."

The elder chuckled as he said.

"I love making food, so I have installed a smoke detector flag in my cave. It reminds me every time I burn my food."

"You can also use it to control a part of the cave to let the sunlight in and water the plants if you like making vegetables."

"There are a bunch of things you can do with this, but unless it is your permanent home, try to be minimal with your interior."

"By the way, just like Qi Detection and Storage Array, it also costs you spirit stones to maintain."

"The cost will go up with each modification."

Hearing that, Tyler nodded.

The elder lifted the coin and said.

"What do you think of this?"

"A coin?"

"What do you think this is used for?"

Tyler thought about it.

’It shouldn’t be identification since a badge can do that. So, what would I need in the sect? Could it be entry to the library?’

Thinking about it, Tyler asked.

"Could it be entry to the library?"

The elder shook his head.

"Library doesn’t require anything to enter. It does require you to pay with contribution points for anything you get from there."

"The Mission Hall, Dinner Hall, and other Halls also do not need this thing."

Suddenly, Tyler remembered something and blurted out.

"Dawn Tower!"

The elder paused and smiled, nodding his head.

"Yes! This coin records your Qi and allows you to enter the Dawn Tower. You can customize your attire inside the tower; you can even hide your name."

"You can even enter the Dawn Tower through this coin from your room, but that will cost you an extra ten contribution points."

"For Inner Court Disciple or someone with Core Court Status, this might not matter, but for Outer Court Disciples, ten contribution points means a lot."

Hearing that, Tyler asked.

"What about the rewards? Does it also store rewards earned from the Dawn Tower?"

The elder nodded.

"Of course, it does. It acts like a teleportation plus storage array. One thing you must remember. Do not lose this."

"Otherwise, unless you become a Core Court Disciple, you will not get another one."

Hearing that, Tyler nodded and took those things from the table. He placed all of them inside his Spatial Ring.

After they left the room, Tyler was immediately greeted with a lot of stares.

But surprisingly, nobody came forward to disturb him.

As soon as they left the building, Joseph spoke.

"They are waiting. The moment you put on that uniform, you will get approached. Of course, without a proper occasion they can’t challenge you."

"Remember, you are the student of the Supreme Elder. There have not been more than two students of the Supreme Elders."

"One of them is the current Sect Leader, and another has already left the country. So, you can just imagine how hard it is to become a Supreme Elder."

Hearing that, Tyler asked.

"I can understand my teacher approaching me to become his student, but I don’t understand why the other Supreme Elder did nothing."

"Because the Supreme Elder Hong has already accepted a person with an Earth Rank Spiritual Root as his personal student."

"In fact, that person is his grandson, and his previous student was his son."

Hearing that, Tyler rubbed his head.

"Wait a minute! Why does he need to accept his own son as a student?"

His question made Joseph shiver. He quickly covered Tyler’s mouth and said.

"You can ask the teacher about this. I am not telling you."

Tyler realized there must have been something important happening between them. He decided he would ask his teacher later.

Joseph moved him around the inner court, showing him the Dinner Hall and Mission Hall as well.

Eventually, he took him to the library.

"Alright! I will wait for you outside."

Joseph waited outside while asking Tyler to enter the library through the main door.

So, Tyler followed his instructions and entered the library. At first, it looked like a normal library with a collection of books.

Except there was not a single bench or chair to sit down and read.

As he walked forward, he heard a voice from the side.

"Take out your badge!"

Tyler hurriedly took out his badge while turning around. He saw a beautiful lady sitting behind a desk, reading a book.

This was the only desk with a chair in this building. The lady wore green clothes that loosely covered her body, revealing her white hands and neckline.

She also had a golden robe, but she had kept it on the side.

Seeing this robe, Tyler remembered the workers in General Registration and General Resource Hall wearing a silver robe.

His teacher wore a golden robe.

’It seems like the robe represents their status just like the badge.’

Tyler thought to himself as he saw her open those red lips with a charming look on her face.

"Oh? So, you are the little guy Elder Jonathan took as a student. Two years ago, he said he would not accept anyone below Heavenly Spiritual Root as a student."

"I never thought he would get his wish fulfilled so quickly. Elder Hong must be crying in his room right now."

Hearing that, Tyler suddenly became curious as he got closer to the desk and asked.

"Elder....."

"Wait, wait, who are you calling Elder? Call me Sister Mira! Understand?"

The lady immediately showed a killing intent in her eyes as she spoke.

Tyler gulped heavily and changed the word he used to address her.

"Sister Mira, do you know why Elder Hong took his son as his student? I feel like he didn’t need to do that for resources."

Hearing that, Mira’s eyelashes rose as a sly smile appeared on her face.

"You want to know?"

Tyler hurriedly nodded his head.

Mira chuckled and snapped her fingers. A green barrier appeared around them.

"This is quite a juicy story. A long time ago, both Elders had fallen for the same girl."

At this moment, the look of interest in Tyler’s eyes immediately disappeared.

Seeing this, Mira looked at him with a confused expression.

"Aren’t you interested in this story?"

Tyler shook his head.

"No, I just think I already know the story."

Mira gave him a curious look and asked.

"Oh? Then, tell me! I am curious how much you figured out."

Tyler nodded and explained.

"Both of them fell for the same girl, and my teacher must’ve won her heart. After this devastating loss, Elder Hong must’ve sworn to never lose to Jonathan in anything."

"So, coincidentally, our sect leader became my teacher’s student. With no talent comparable to his, Elder Hong chose his own son as his student."

"But considering that his son left the country, he must’ve been devastated by his son’s decision, so he decided to take his grandson as his student and nurture him properly this time."

Hearing that, Mira gave him a surprised look.

"Wow! You have quite an imagination."

Her praise almost made his chin up, but her next sentence brought his head down.

"Unfortunately, you are wrong in your first sentence. Your teacher didn’t win her heart. Guess what, that lady had already found a life partner."

"So, both men had their hearts broken. In the end, both decided to blame each other for not confessing earlier."

"This caused them to constantly make bets with each other. Normally, they didn’t care much about their bets until an event where your teacher remembered a certain bet."

"It turned out that they had made a bet on something and your teacher had won."

"So, he was qualified to choose a student first, and Hong wasn’t allowed to fight him for this student."

"That student is the current sect leader. After that, things went quite the same as you said."

"Hong made his own son his student. He tried to make his son compete with the Sect Leader for everything."

"Eventually, his son got so frustrated that he left the country, which broke Hong’s heart, eventually making him realize his mistake."

"So recently, his son sent him his grandson. He loved his grandson, so he wanted Jonathan to be his student."

"But Jonathan disagreed because he no longer wanted to accept anyone below Heavenly Spiritual Root as a student."

"He told Hong to take his grandson as his student and nurture him with care so he could convince his father to return."

"Because of this, he agreed and accepted that if there is ever a child with Heavenly Spiritual Root, he would let Jonathan become his teacher."

Hearing that, Tyler curiously asked.

"Sister Mira, what’s the name of Elder Hong’s son?"

Mira’s eyes became serious as he said.

"Do you know why I have been referring to him as ’his son’ for so long? Because his name is taboo in the sect."

"Only if Ben becomes a Nascent Soul cultivator can he break this taboo."
