After spitting out those words, her boss furiously hung up, leaving the reporter to stand stunned in the cold wind for a long moment.

Once she snapped out of it, she gave Chloe Sinclair a long, hard look before deleting all the videos she had just taken.

"I’m sorry."

She felt both indignant and helpless.

"Sorry, but I don’t accept your apology." The faint smile on Chloe Sinclair’s face vanished, her eyes turning cold as ice.

"I already apologized! What more do you want?!"

The reporter was incensed. She felt she had already apologized, but Chloe Sinclair refused to let it go.

He quickly added, "The director was fine with it."

"Gabriel, is there something else you want to say to me?"

At her words, Gabriel nodded, took a deep breath, and rushed out in a single torrent: "Don’t worry about the stuff online! Internet trolls are all like that, young with no manners. Their brains are waterlogged and they forgot to install a drain. From the left, they look like idiots; from the right, morons. From above, a pig; from below, a donkey. We don’t stoop to arguing with assholes."

As soon as he finished, Gabriel gasped for air. He’d said so much in one go he was nearly out of breath.

’Gabriel must have spent ages on Baidu to come up with that rant.’

’But he said it so fast, she hadn’t caught a single word.’

She could only sigh. Just as she was about to speak, Gabriel cut her off.
