Mrs. Logan’s face went pale. Her lips trembled nonstop, but she couldn’t make a sound.

Mr. Sinclair, however, didn’t spare her another glance. He said something to Chloe Sinclair and turned to leave.

Chloe had no desire to linger in this place either. She fell into step with her father, ready to head upstairs with him.

Her heart skipped a beat. Her lips trembled, but for a long moment, no sound came out.

Chloe found Mrs. Logan’s expression rather amusing.

’If only Mrs. Logan had been more frugal in her past life. Based on the salary she was making, she could have easily afforded her own medical care.’
