Yvonne White froze, then seethed with rage. "Is that how you talk to me? If I scold you a little more, are you going to hit me?"

This newly returned granddaughter not only ran wild all day but was also completely disrespectful to her.

"Grandma, I’m just sticking to the facts. My father treated Nina Sinclair very well. Why don’t you ask him why he made her move out?"

As she spoke, her deep, ink-black eyes turned to Nina Sinclair, a sarcastic smile playing on her lips.

Nina Sinclair’s heart skipped a beat. She quickly lowered her head, not daring to meet Chloe Sinclair’s gaze.

Seeing the other’s guilty expression, Chloe Sinclair scoffed.

Yvonne White was burning with anger. She hadn’t expected Chloe Sinclair to be so dismissive of people.

With her own grandmother standing right here, she was already giving them attitude.

"How did your mother give birth to a daughter like you!"

Yvonne White couldn’t watch this any longer. She stood up, her deep-set eyes filled with fury. "Chloe Sinclair, I’m not dead yet!"

Yvonne White pulled Nina Sinclair behind her, looking like a mother hen protecting her chick.

Chloe Sinclair raised an eyebrow. Not wanting to argue further, she shrugged. "Suit yourself."

With that, she ambled slowly up the stairs.

She didn’t even think of looking back, no matter how much Yvonne White cursed at her.

Back in her room, Chloe Sinclair finally felt the world grow quiet.

She rubbed her aching forehead. Suddenly, a thought struck her, and she shot up in bed.

"Oh no, White!"

Earlier, White couldn’t get into the elevator, so she had left the little guy on the first floor of the company building.

But then Jasper Shaw invited her to dinner, and she completely forgot about her little companion.

Chloe Sinclair quickly found her phone and sent a message to Jasper Shaw.

She learned that White had gone home on its own.

Chloe Sinclair breathed a sigh of relief. She touched the tip of her nose, feeling a bit puzzled.

Chloe Sinclair had a complete experimental path mapped out in her mind, but her current circumstances made it impossible for her to conduct the experiment.

"Eight, do you think my line of reasoning is correct?"

With some time on her hands, Chloe Sinclair asked Eight in the system about her theory on maglev trains.

Eight didn’t hold back. "The theory is perfectly correct, but the BCS theory is not yet complete. That is the most crucial theoretical proof needed for high-temperature superconductivity research."

Chloe Sinclair understood this, of course.

The BCS theory is the microscopic theory that explains the superconductivity of conventional superconductors.

However, the BCS theory touched upon many of humanity’s unsolved mysteries, and many aspects of it remained questionable even today.

The only thing she had to do now was to prove the BCS theory.

But Chloe Sinclair hadn’t been calculating for long before the butler came knocking at her door in a panic.

"Miss Sinclair, something’s happened to White!"

Chloe Sinclair’s eyes shot open. She strode to the door in a few steps and threw it open, her face grim. "What’s going on?"

The butler said, "White was pushed into the pool by Miss Nina. It won’t turn on now."

Chloe Sinclair’s brow furrowed. She bypassed the butler and headed straight downstairs.

Outside the Sinclair Family villa was an ornamental pond. The water wasn’t deep, but it would come up to an average person’s chest.

After realizing it had been left behind by Chloe Sinclair, White had returned on its own.

It just hadn’t expected to be shoved by Nina Sinclair as it reached the edge of the pond.

Logically, White’s sturdy build should have made it difficult to push over. Unfortunately, it was right next to the pond, which had no railing. Its center of gravity shifted, and with a SPLASH, it fell into the water.

The butler immediately shut the villa’s main gate.

Nina Sinclair had never seen this side of Chloe Sinclair before. She was terrified and didn’t know what to do.

Fortunately, Yvonne White heard the commotion outside and hurried over.

Without even understanding what had happened, she immediately concluded that Chloe Sinclair was the one bullying others.

So she said, "Nina was about to go home. What more do you want?"

"Go home?" Chloe Sinclair sneered. "Leaving me with such a generous parting gift?"

Yvonne White froze.

She, too, was taken aback by Chloe Sinclair’s expression.

Before she could speak, Chloe Sinclair demanded, "Grandma, don’t play favorites. I understand you’ve raised Nina Sinclair for all these years and you dote on her, I have no problem with that. But have you really not thought to ask her why she had to move out on her own? And on top of that, she insists on giving me this ’parting gift’? I, Chloe Sinclair, really can’t accept such a grand gesture!"
