Chloe Sinclair’s study guide became a hot topic in class, and quite a few classmates wanted her to help them with their key points.

But this time, Chloe refused.

"Sorry, the study guide I made for Summer Beckett is tailored just for him. It won’t be much help to you all."

Her classmates were inevitably a little disappointed, but they also knew Chloe had no reason to lie.

For the next few days, Kyle Stern came by the classroom to check on them after almost every period. To his surprise, every single student was studying, with no exceptions.

It was true that the students at Kennet First High School had decent grades—they had all passed a gauntlet of exams in middle school to get in. But in high school, some students inevitably struggled and had long since given up on their studies.

Yet now, he was seeing many of the students with the worst grades actually reading their books during the break.

Seeing this, Kyle Stern’s eyes welled with tears, and he was moved beyond words.

Back in the faculty office, he told the other subject teachers what he had seen. In response, the teachers decided to assign the students extra homework over the May Day holiday.

This studious atmosphere lasted all the way until the day of the exams.

Chloe Sinclair was enjoying a rare day off, having breakfast at the dining table with her father and brother.

Nina Sinclair remarked, as if by chance, "Chloe, you’d better give it your all on the midterms today."

Chloe, sipping her soy milk, looked up at the remark. "Yep. I’m going to get first place."

Nina scoffed inwardly, but her smile was warm. "Chloe, Rome wasn’t built in a day. As long as you show a little improvement over last time, Dad and our brother won’t be angry."

Hearing this, her father and brother hastily looked up.

"Chloe, we won’t be angry whether you improve or not."

"Your brother’s right. You only just arrived in Kennet and haven’t even settled in yet. We can worry about grades later."

For ordinary people, there might only be one path to university, but the Sinclairs didn’t have to worry about that.

Mr. Sinclair already had a plan. If Chloe didn’t care about her grades, he would just send her abroad to study.

In short, the Sinclair family didn’t lack for money. All that mattered was that his daughter was happy.

Of course, Chloe knew what her father was thinking.

After speaking, she let out a small burp.

Mr. Sinclair was all smiles. "Excellent! My birthday is in a few days. When all those old geezers show up, I’ll have something to brag about."

He had many friends, and their children all went to either Emberfall University or Bayside University. They never missed a chance to brag about it.

In a few days, he could finally brag about his own daughter and make those old cronies jealous for a change.

"The college entrance exams are right around the corner. I haven’t even asked which schools you two are aiming for."

Mr. Sinclair suddenly recalled that with the entrance exams so close, he should probably start making some calls to schools.

He wasn’t worried about Nina. His main concern was that Chloe’s grades weren’t good enough to get into even a mid-tier university.

"Dad, I’m planning to go to a performing arts school. I want to be an actress."

Mr. Sinclair wasn’t surprised; after all, the family already had one big star.

He looked over at Chloe, and just as he was about to ask, she declared with a completely straight face, "I’m going to Emberfall University!"
