In a black Land Rover in a corner of the car park, Denise was in the driver’s seat. As she stared in the direction of the departing car, she gripped the steering wheel tightly.

Christopher took Janice to a Chinese hot pot restaurant in the area. He had discovered recently that Janice liked spicy food a great deal.

"Come, let’s congratulate you on your success."

Christopher picked up his wine glass.

Janice glanced at the glass of juice in front of her and bit her lips. "I also want to drink."

She stared at Christopher dolefully.

Christopher pretended not to see it. He was well aware of Janice’s drinking capacity.

"You can’t drink."

"Just let me drink a little," Janice said with an expectant look.

Christopher stared at her. "Do you really want to drink?"

"Really?" Janice frowned. "But he must have a hobby."

Christopher said, "Well, there is one. Grandpa used to like cooking."

Christopher nodded. "Do you know where my cooking skills come from?"

Christopher continued, "I learnt it from my grandfather. Ever since I was young, I’ve watched him make various delicious food for my grandmother every day. I’ve been influenced by him, that’s how I’ve gained good cooking skills."

Although she had long known that Old Mr. Allson was a devoted person, she was still surprised when she heard Christopher’s words.

It was really rare for a man to have his own career and to try to please his wife every day. He was simply a one-of-his-kind good man.

She looked at Christopher and said wistfully.

"I’m so envious of your grandma. She met such a good man."

Christopher frowned. "Am I not good?"

Janice hurriedly said. "Of course you are. I didn’t say that you were bad."

She pursed her lips.

Christopher reached out and rubbed the top of her head. "Don’t worry, in the future, I will treat you well like my grandfather treated my grandmother."

Upon hearing Christopher’s words, Janice felt warm in her heart.

Janice glanced at the noisy Nino, got up, and went to answer the phone outside the door.
