Christopher stared at Janice’s serious expression. She looked desperate for an answer. Then he thought of the psychiatrist’s response to his questions in the consultation room a while ago.

"First of all, we need to know if the patient has any mental or psychological disorders. For example, it can be caused by a traumatic event or caused by excessive and irrational fear. The fear could also be caused by uncertainty."

So, what was the reason for Janice’s nervousness every time he was physically close to her?

Christopher was staring at Janice without answering her question. She couldn’t help but feel guilty and was afraid if he would misunderstand her words. She quickly said," Well... Here is not a good place for us to chat, why don’t we go home?"

She quickly walked and lead the way as she spoke.

Christopher was silent and trailed behind her.

On the way home, Christopher was driving and Janice was sitting in the passenger seat. She felt extremely uneasy when she thought of the incident in the hospital. Did he suspect anything since she asked that question?

"Erm... Christopher, why are you silent?"

Janice said.

Christopher turned to look at her. "What do you want me to say?"

Janice replied," Anything."

"For example?"

He asked.

Janice scratched her head and paused to think of a reply.

Seeing her conflicted expression, Christopher couldn’t help but chuckle. Of course, he knew what she wanted to ask. He purposely remained silent to make her anxious.

Janice hesitated for a long time and finally said, "Okay, I’ll tell you the truth. I just want to know what you asked the psychiatrist."

She was guessing that he might have already known about it.

After all, the whole setup was an obvious lie. How could he not notice it when he was so smart? Instead of being exposed by him, she might as well ask him now.

Christopher chuckled. He thought she would be more patient and not expose herself.

It seemed that Janice couldn’t hold it in any longer.

He continued, "Then tell me, why do you think I need to see a psychiatrist?"

Janice was stunned. She thought to herself, "He knew it."

She paused, bit her lips, and asked, "You knew everything."

Christopher was agreed silently.

Janice pursed her lips and asked, "When did you find out?"

"Last night."

Christopher replied.

"What?"

Janice was surprised. "Since you knew it, why didn’t you expose me?"

"Why should I do that?"

Christopher looked over in confusion.

Janice stopped talking.

Christopher stared at her dejected expression. He shook his head and parked the car on the side of the road.

"I really want to know. Why do you think that I’m sexually dysfunctional?"

Suddenly, Christopher leaned over and stared at her with darkened eyes.

Janice did not expect that he would lean over in a sudden. She was caught off guard and tried to dodge him, but her head bumped into the car window and she winced in pain.

Christopher glanced at her painful expression and extended his hand to rub her head before returning to his seat.

"You can think about it slowly. Don’t rush."

He rolled down the car window and lit a cigarette, waiting for her answer. The atmosphere in the car was tensed, as though they were competing to see who will give up first.

Janice stretched her hand and rubbed the sore spot on her head. She thought of Christopher’s question. Actually, she had never felt that there was anything wrong with him. It was after Yvonne mentioned it that she started to think about it. 𝐟𝕣𝗲𝕖𝕨𝗲𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝗲𝚕.𝗰𝚘𝐦

She couldn’t have told him that! She wouldn’t mention Yvonne to him.

She hesitated and replied, "Is it ok to not reply?"

It was quite embarrassing as if she was looking forward to having sex with him.

Christopher flicked the cigarette ash with his fingers and looked at her. "How would I know if you don’t tell me? Or, do you like to express it without using words?"

Christopher narrowed his eyes and looked at Janice.

Janice paused for a moment and realized what he meant. Instantly, she blushed and her face turned red.

"I... I didn’t mean that. I..."

Without waiting for her answer, Christopher crushed his cigarette and leaned over.

Their gazes met suddenly. The faint smell of tobacco on Christopher made Janice’s heart beat faster. For a moment, she was in a daze and forgot to react.

Plus, he was leaning towards her so close to the point that they could even feel each other’s breath.

Janice felt that her heart was thumping wildly against her ribcage. Blinking her doe-eyes, she pursed her lips nervously.

However, she wasn’t aware that her actions has aroused Christopher. He tried to remain calm with all his willpower. His gaze fell on Janice’s captivating lips and he couldn’t help but lean closer and closer to her.

He didn’t stop until he was an inch away from her. Mesmerized, he stared at her flickering eyes as she was beyond nervous. He gulped and said," Close your eyes."

His magnetic voice seemed to enchant her. She actually listened to him and closed her eyes slowly while clenching her fists with her hands dangling from her body.

None of this escaped Christopher’s eyes. His gaze fell on her clenched fists and his eyes darkened.

She became very nervous every time he was physically close to her. She never put down her defense around him even in such a situation.

This proved that she was resisting him from the bottom of her heart.

It seemed that she wasn’t into him.

With Christopher’s pride, he would never force a woman even if he liked her.

But Janice had completely aroused his desire to conquer her heart. He was even willing to forgo his principles as he inched closer to her, capturing her lips with a kiss.

Feeling her retreating figure, he even reached out to hold her nape and deepened the kiss.

Christopher stared at her reaction and chuckled.

He sat upright in a good mood and told her, "Don’t mess around anymore. I’m very healthy. If you still have doubts about this, I don’t mind proving it to you in bed, okay?"

Janice was aroused and felt hot all over her body when she heard his deep and seductive voice.

She swore that she would never listen to Yvonne’s nonsense again.

Christopher knew that she was shy, so he stopped teasing her and started driving.

The car went on its way but Janice didn’t move her hands even though they reached home.

Christopher frowned. However, when he saw her shy demeanor, he chuckled and reached out to grab her hand, but she managed to dodge it.

"Janice, we’re home. Move your hands away and look at me."
