Once she said that, all her colleagues couldn’t help but sighed in disappointment.

They were happy for nothing.

As soon as they left, Lucy popped her head out of her workstation.

"I can’t believe that you are not close to Director Taylor. I heard it, he said that he had known you for a long time."

Janice was unhappy when she heard Lucy. "There are so many students in the university. It’s normal if we’re not close to each other. Besides, we’re not in the same class."

Janice did not reply to her. She turned on her computer and started working.

In the afternoon, Janice went to the restaurant to meet Yvonne.

Yvonne was already at the restaurant.

"How was it? How was the consultation?"

"So he is healthy. How about his size?"

Janice was dumbfounded. How could she have such a lustful friend like Yvonne?

Yvonne chuckled. "What are you afraid of? There’s no one else here. Tell me."

Janice tapped her head gently. "If you continue asking, I’ll ignore you."

Unhappy, Yvonne stopped probing. In doubt, she asked," That’s strange. If he’s not sexually dysfunctional, why didn’t he have sex with you?"

"How would I know? He’s healthy, that’s all I need to know."

Janice drank her coffee gloomily.

Yvonne was in disbelief.

"Maybe he’s gay," Yvonne muttered.

Janice paused for a moment. "But, you told me that you’ve already investigated it?"

Yvonne replied, "I’ve only investigated one person. What if his partner isn’t the one you’re talking about?"

After some thought, Janice agreed.

Then she changed her mind. After all, Rob was the only man around Christopher so far. She hadn’t seen anyone else around him.

"Janice, aren’t you curious?" Yvonne asked after seeing her calm expression. Janice raised her eyebrows." What would I be curious about?"

Yvonne replied, "You are so beautiful and have such a good figure. Who wouldn’t be attracted to you? I don’t believe that Christopher is a saint."

Janice was a little embarrassed by Yvonne’s compliment. She was not as good as Yvonne has said. Even though she had an hourglass figure, her figure wasn’t as great as what Yvonne has said.

"I... I don’t want to continue this conversation anymore. Anyway, I think everything is fine now."

She didn’t want him to trick her again like how he did yesterday because of that matter. She blushed at the thought of it.

"Then it’s up to you. Just don’t cry and complain to me that you don’t have a sex life." Yvonne sighed.

"Don’t worry, I won’t cry or complain to you."

She was chatting with Yvonne when a familiar figure walked over. "Benjamin?"

Why would he be here? And he was walking towards her.

Janice seemed to have understood something. She glanced at Yvonne and asked, "Why is he here? Did you tell him that I’m here?"

Yvonne felt a little awkward. "Don’t blame me. He pleaded with me for quite some time. Besides, I think it’s time for the two of you to clear things up."

Janice was about to reply to her when Benjamin walked up to them.

Yvonne quickly got up from her seat and said, "The two of you can continue. I have something to do in the hospital, so I have to go first."

After that, she left.

Janice interrupted him without waiting for his reply. "Benjamin. Sorry, it should be Director Taylor. We’re over since the day you left me three years ago. From now on, you’re my boss and I’m your subordinate. Please don’t follow me again in the future, and don’t ask about my whereabouts."

With that, she left with her bag.

Benjamin stood in his place and stared at her departing figure with furrowed eyebrows.

Janice went back home in the evening and was in a bad mood. It took her a lot of effort to make the decision and start a new life, but Benjamin suddenly appeared in front of her and became her boss.

She was surprised. How could there be a puppy at home?

The puppy looked rather cute. It was white and had adorable ears. From the looks of it, it was a Labrador.

Janice bent down and caressed its head. "Where did you come from? Why are you at my house?"

The puppy stuck its tongue out in response.

At that moment, Christopher walked out of his room.

Janice looked up at him.

"Where did this puppy come from?"

Christopher replied, "She was mine before this."

"Oh, does she have a name?" Janice asked.

Christopher, "Nino."

"Nino. Janice whispered to the puppy. "I see, your name is Nino, right? Hi, Nino! I’m Janice. We’re friends now."

As she spoke, Janice rubbed her face on Nino.

Looking at them, Christopher was speechless.

She had never acted so intimately to him.

"Nino, come over."

He clapped his hands and Nino ran obediently into his arms.

Janice was a bit down. Nino was indeed closer to her master.

She tried to move closer to Nino but Christopher stopped her by grabbing her collar. "You smell. Go take a shower."

Janice was unhappy. "Do I smell?"

She tried to smell herself. She did smell sweaty but he didn’t need to say that she was smelly. After all, she was a girl and it was embarrassing for a girl.

Janice thought and turned away to pout. Then she turned around and went to the bathroom.

Initially, the house was quiet but it became lively because of Nino.

Janice was not in the mood to dwell on her sad past so she decided to forget about what happened earlier.

After dinner, the two of them took Nino for a walk by the river.

Christopher held onto Nino’s leash while Janice played with Nino for a while. After that, she was tired so she sat down on a chair by the river.

Christopher tied Nino around a pole and sat beside her.

"You seem unhappy today. What happened?"
