Janice was very confused. Just what was he up to?

In the evening when she returned home, she saw a large suitcase at the door. She couldn’t help frowning as she asked, "Are you going on a business trip?"

Christopher happened to come downstairs and he answered, "It’s not me, it’s us."

"Huh?"

Janice’s face was filled with confusion.

Christopher did not explain too much. Instead, he stepped forward and said, "I’ll take you somewhere."

As he spoke, he carried his suitcase with one hand and wrapped his other arm around her shoulder with the other as he walked out of the door.

Janice didn’t ask. In any case, she would find out what he was up to soon.

They didn’t say anything all the way. They were just too tired.

She had worked all day at the TV station doing miscellaneous chores and was even more tired than usual when she did reportingreport. She fell asleep soon after she got in the car.

Christopher did not wake her up and let her fall asleep. When they reached their destination, he woke her up. "Janice, wake up. We’re here."

Only then did Janice wake up drowsily. She rubbed her eyes and looked out the window.

"Where are we?"

Christopher smiled at her and said, "By the sea."

Janice was taken aback. "The sea?"

Tomaville was not a seaside city. It took two hours to drive from Tomavile to the nearest beach.

So, had she slept for two hours?

"Get out of the car."

Christopher opened the door and got out.

Janice briefly paused before getting out of the car as well.

She found that the car was parked in front of a villa which was built on the beach.

Just as she was wondering where they were, Christopher took her luggage from the trunk and said, "Let’s go in."

He walked into the villa with his arms around Janice.

After entering the villa, Janice could not help but ask, "This is..."

Christopher put the luggage away and replied, "This is a seaside villa that I own. We’ll stay here tonight."

Janice thought that it was a little odd when she heard that. They were very comfortable at home, so why would he suddenly come here in the middle of the night?

She walked around the house and found that there were large French windows on one side of the house. She could enjoy the view of the whole sea. Although it was dark, she could still feel the vastness of the sea.

Christopher carried the luggage back to the bedroom. When he came out, he saw her standing in front of the French windows in the living room. He walked up to her and hugged her from behind. "You must be hungry. I’ll get something to eat."

Janice nodded. "I’ll help you."

She wanted to go to the kitchen with him, but Christopher stopped her. "No need. Go take a shower. You’ll have something to eat when you come out."

Janice didn’t think much of it and obediently returned to the room to take a shower.

However, when she came out of the bathroom, she was stunned by the scene outside.

There was a row of candlesticks on the long European-style dining table. There were delicious and exquisite dishes on the table. It looked romantic and appetizing.

When Janice walked over, Christopher was pouring champagne. When he saw her coming over, he invited her in a gentlemanly manner. "Please take a seat, my lady."

He was wearing a suit and looked very formal. On the contrary, she was only wearing a bathrobe, which suddenly seemed a little out of place with this romantic setup.

She felt a little out of place. "Should I change into a formal dress?"

Christopher replied, "You look good in everything."

Christopher raised his glass, "Come, cheers."

Janice raised her wine glass and clinked it against his.

"What’s the occasion?"

Janice asked as she cut the steak on her plate. Christopher glanced at her meaningfully. "Think about it."

Janice began to think seriously, but no matter how hard she tried, she couldn’t think of anything. She shook her head, "I can’t think of anything."

Christopher asked, "Think again?"

Janice asked, "Your birthday?"

Christopher shook his head.

It made sense. She remembered that his birthday was in winter.

She added, "It’s the day your company was established."

Christopher frowned. She was getting further and further from it.

Janice gave up in the end. "Just say it. I really can’t think of anything."

Hearing this, Christopher stopped. He looked at her and said helplessly, "It’s the 100th day of our marriage."

"Oh?" Janice was shocked. The 100th day of their marriage? It turned out that they had been married for a hundred days.

When Christopher saw her expression, he knew that she had forgotten.

Janice was a bit embarrassed.

The two strolled on the beach hand in hand.

Waves crashed on the beach. Janice couldn’t resist taking off her shoes and running barefoot in the shallow water.

"Wow, the sea is still warm!"

She kicked the water with her feet, playing happily.

Christopher chuckled and walked over.

"Be careful, don’t fall." He reached out to hold her arm.

After playing for a while, Janice felt tired and went to lie down on the beach.

She could still feel the warmth of the sun on the sand and it felt quite comfortable.

She looked up at the stars in the sky and could not help but marvel. "It’s so beautiful."

Christopher also looked up subconsciously.

Janice continued, "You have to lie down to appreciate the beauty."

She patted the spot next to her.

Christopher walked over and lay down beside her. He stretched out his long arms and propped up the back of her head.

Janice snuggled up to him and nestled in his embrace as the two looked at the sky quietly.

"Look, there are seven stars over there. It must be the Big Dipper."

Christopher looked in the direction that she was pointing and nodded. "Probably." "Have you ever heard of the legend of the Big Dipper?" Janice asked. Christopher shook his head.

Janice thought to himself, ’I knew you wouldn’t know.’

She said slowly, "Legend has it that every star of the Big Dipper symbolizes something. They represent strength, wisdom, courage, love, happiness, disaster, and rebirth. As long as people pray to them sincerely, they give the person great power and fulfill their wishes."

"So do you believe that?" Christopher asked.

"It’s not about believing. It’s about having hope." Janice said and then asked. "Do you want to make a wish?"

Christopher was speechless. "You believe in such legends?"

Janice replied, "It is true if you believe in it, and if you don’t, then it is just a legend. What if it’s real?"

Christopher felt helpless.

Meanwhile, Janice hurried him excitedly, "Quick, let’s make a wish together. Keep thinking about the position of the star depending on what you are wishing for. Start from the first one. The first is the Star of Strength, the second is the Star of Wisdom, the third is courage, the fourth is love, the fifth is happiness..."

Christopher closed his eyes as he listened to Janice rattle on.

That night, the figures of two people chasing each other were reflected on the huge beach.

The next morning, Janice was awakened by an itchy feeling. She slowly opened her eyes. What she saw was not just Christopher’s handsome face, but also a snow-white feather.

She only understood then where the itching sensation came from. "What are you doing? The sun hasn’t even risen yet." She turned around and wanted to go back to sleep. Christopher pulled her up from the bed. "Stop sleeping. Look over there."

Since she couldn’t sleep, Janice had no choice but to rub her eyes and look in the direction Christopher was pointing at.

Her eyes were half-closed at first as she only tried to humor him. But after seeing the scene outside the window, she lost all her drowsiness and opened her eyes wide.

"Sunrise?" She exclaimed.

Before Christopher could say anything, she pushed him away and walked towards the floor-to-ceiling window.

She stood in front of the window and looked at the sea. She still felt that it was not enough, so she opened the balcony door and walked out.

She stood on the balcony, holding the railing and facing the sea breeze. She looked into the distance where the sea met the sky.

The sea was dyed red by the sun and was tightly connected with the red halo on the horizon. It was extremely beautiful and spectacular.

She thought of something and couldn’t help shouting, "Hurry up, Hubby, bring me my camera."

The camera was already in front of her just as she finished her sentence.

Janice stared at the camera in front of her and froze for a moment. Her gaze followed the hand that was holding the camera and fell on Christopher’s face. She asked in surprise, "How did you know that I would want a camera?"
