Christopher’s eyes were hazy with sleep. When he met Janice’s gaze, his gaze darkened slightly. He stood up and asked, "What time is it?"

It seemed that he didn’t sleep well last night, and he was frowning slightly.

Janice quickly looked away. "It’s... early. I have an interview task later. You can go sleep in the bed."

If you know what’s good for you, you will divorce her in exchange for these fifteen thousand dollars. Otherwise, when I make a move, you won’t receive any money and you won’t even be able to stay in Tomaville."

This was the first time Christopher had heard such a thing since he was a child. He found it amusing. He didn’t expect that one day someone would come to negotiate with him with money. Wasn’t this his usual practice?
