Wen Zhi understood and lifted a faint smile, “No need, Meng Fan will accompany me.”

Shang Jing asked, “She’s coming to pick you up?”

Wen Zhi nodded.

“Okay then, if my mom asks, you explain it to her so she won’t say that I didn’t follow through,” Shang Jing said as he pushed open the car door and got out.

Wen Zhi nodded and then asked, “Shang Jing, have you been waiting for me for a long time?”

“No, I’ve just gotten into the car,” Shang Jing casually fibbed.

Of course, he wouldn’t say he had been waiting for nearly an hour.

Looking at the injury on her leg, Shang Jing hesitated but still asked, “Does your leg injury affect your walking today?”

“It won’t,” Wen Zhi shook her head. “The wound has healed a lot.”

Shang Jing nodded and didn’t say anything more, turning to walk inside.
