During the start-up break, she turned her head to Wen Zhi and asked, "Are you going to call Uncle?"

Wen Zhi nodded, "He must be worried about me."

Meng Fan smiled meaningfully, "Definitely worried, I should have used Jian Yingqing’s phone earlier, but unfortunately, he’s already gone."

"It’s okay, I can still call him back now, I’ve got to let him know I’m safe. I only left the hotel quietly because I didn’t want Chong Wanyin to know my whereabouts."

At just one glance, Shang Hexing felt his heart soften completely, and he strode forward, stretching out his hands to pull Wen Zhi into his arms.

Meng Fan raised an eyebrow, withdrew her gaze, and then saw Jian Yingqing outside the door. She walked out, blocking Jian Yingqing’s view on her way, and after exiting she shut the door, "What are you looking at?"

Jian Yingqing squinted his eyes, "Sis, I haven’t dated yet; can’t I watch how others date?"

Meng Fan shot him a look, "Big brother, you just came from White Horse Club, you know?"

Jian Yingqing chuckled, his body turning to the side, his arm lifting up to pin Meng Fan against the door wall, "Sis, although coming from Yanzi may sound bad, my body is innocent, and not even kissed by anyone yet."

Meng Fan, feeling a chill from Jian Yingqing’s words, shoved him away, "Speak seriously."

"I am a serious person, it’s just that seeing you makes me not want to be serious." Jian Yingqing leaned in as if boneless, "Sis, your husband isn’t often home, prefers lingering around with outsiders. When you are lonely and need consolation, why not consider me?"

Meng Fan laughed, "I see."

Shang Hexing replied, "What I wanted to ask you for this morning and didn’t get the chance, a status."

Wen Zhi pursed her lips, "Let me think."

"Fiancé," he said.

Wen Zhi widened her eyes, murmuring, "That’s a big jump, I’m not even considering marriage yet."

Shang Hexing countered, "So you weren’t planning to take responsibility for me?"

This man really didn’t play by the rules, turning around and asking her to take responsibility.

Though muttering about his strangeness, her lips curled uncontrollably upwards, but upon remembering the important matters, her expression immediately became serious, asking him, "Are the police still looking for me? How did you handle it?"
