Chef in the Apocalypse

The summit continued for another 6 days, bringing the total length to just over a weeks time. Jayce was able to help majority of the attendees refine their meridians and open up their Dantian.

The only ones who had missed out were those who had not yet reached level 60 and received their meridians. However, it wasn’t as if they came away from the summit with nothing.

On the fifth day, Jayce had introduced everyone to the Laws. While he himself was only familiar with the Law of Fire, he had Leah come and talk about her Law of Nature.

This was perhaps the most enthusiastic he had seen the crowd during the whole summit. The idea of still being able to use magic without mana filled in a lot of doubts and insecurities people had about forsaking their mana and in turn the system.

He finished the day off by stating that these were not the only two laws in existence, and that they should do their best to find and comprehend the Laws of the world.

Jayce had a theory that these Laws were something that only worlds who had evolved possess. So before Earth fully evolved, it would be difficult to comprehend them in their entirety.

That didn’t mean that it was impossible, after all, Jayce had merely stumbled upon the Law of Fire by trying to recreate his Exploding Fireball with Inner Qi.

It would also be possible that there were other places like deep within the large tree which could unlock the key to enlightenment.

Now that the summit was in its last day, Jayce felt as if he had taught them everything they needed to increase their strength. Of course he would continue to reach out and provide assistance wherever possible, but the rest would be based on their own talent and determination.

"We have reached the final day of the very first World Summit. I trust you all have reaped plenty of rewards during this time." Jayce said calmly.

Now that he had talked upon a stage every day for the past week, he was cool and confident speaking in front of so many people. It also helped that majority of the people in the audience looked at him with the awe and respect befitting of a teacher.

"This final day will be short, but I ask that you all stick around for one more night. I will be putting on a feast for us all, in celebration of the things we have achieved."

"However, we must first shell out a plan for the next year and a half until the impending invasion is upon us."

The crowds mood went from excited about the feast to grim in a moment, showcasing that Jayce had not yet learned how to control a room. Yet he had no choice but to bring up such a thing.

"Our goal over the next year and a half is to clear all the monsters on the surface of the Earth." He said simply.

There was nothing but silence in response. It was so eerily silent that one could hear the tightening of their own sphincter.

Even Colin seemed mystified at the lofty goals of his fearless leader. However, in the next moment his face donned his trademark grin.

"Hell yeah! Let’s kill those bastards." He shouted, feeling fired up.

Colin’s enthusiasm seemed to infect the crowd as they felt their blood boiling. These monsters which had plagued and hunted them down since the beginning of the Apocalypse, their mission was to kill them all.

"F*ck it, let’s do it!"

"Time to get revenge!"

"Death to all monsters"

The group began to shout out, mirroring Colin’s attitude and enthusiasm. Soon enough, the crowd was chanting together.

"KILL THEM ALL!" 𝚏𝕣𝕖𝚎𝚠𝚎𝚋𝚗𝐨𝐯𝕖𝕝.𝕔𝐨𝕞

"KILL THEM ALL!"

Jayce turned to Colin and gave him a thumbs up. It turned out that the big man was a great cheerleader, even without pom poms and a short skirt.

As soon as that image fluttered across his mind, he involuntarily shuddered at the sight. He thought it would have been funny to see, but imagining the hairy and muscular legs poking from beneath the dress had advised him otherwise.

Jayce shook his head, trying to erase the image from his mind forever. "Okay good. Use this first 3 months or so to increase your strength. Cultivate diligently and there should be no problems in sending out raiding parties to kill those monsters."

As long as these people went back and killed the monsters in their countries, it will wipe out a good portion of monsters on Earth. If there were any that were too strong, Jayce wouldn’t mind heading there personally to dispatch them.

After he had distributed the blueprints for the teleportation array to all of the supporters, he had gained access to every continent on Earth, besides Antarctica.

He had achieved something that did not even happen in his previous life throughout the whole 10 years. While they likely had supporters, it wasn’t until almost 7 years into the Apocalypse that the prototype teleportation array had been completed.

By then, a lot of the land once inhabited by humans were taken over by the monsters. People were either killed or forced to migrate to safer lands in order to avoid the horde of monsters.

"Also be sure to keep a lookout for any human settlements while you are purging the monsters in your countries. Invite them back to your cities and if there is not enough room or food then send them here."

Jayce paused for a moment, before continuing with an earnest expression, "Remember, this will all be for naught if we continue to stay separated. We are strong when united."

In his opinion, there had to be a lot more humans that he had not or rather, could not get into contact with. People struggling to survive in remote places, or perhaps they were thriving also.

Either way, the more people he could get into the Human Alliance and the more united they were as a species, the higher chance of survival they had.
