"I don’t think this is necessary..."

Ye Ling looked helplessly at Ning Ruoxi and said with a wry smile.

Ning Ruoxi was holding her phone, busily taking pictures of the dishes on the table.

"You don’t get it. This is called documenting our lives."

After buying their milk tea, it was about 1:15 PM. The movie Ye Ling had booked was at 1:30, so their timing was perfect.

Ning Ruoxi muttered, her mood now completely restored. She gave his waist a light pinch. "Anyway, no matter what, you have to stay with me."

Ye Ling reached out and took Ning Ruoxi’s hand, squeezing it gently. It felt so soft in his, as if it didn’t have any bones at all.

After the movie, Ye Ling and Ning Ruoxi wandered around the mall for a while longer and grabbed some dinner.

A smile touched Ye Ling’s lips as he looked up at the sky. "Hey, watch closely now."

Ning Ruoxi tilted her head back, her curious gaze fixed on the sky above.

A moment later, a faint whirring sound reached her ears.

Something seemed to be flying slowly toward them from high up in the sky.

"WHIRRRR~"

As the sound grew clearer, points of light suddenly began to glow high in the sky.

"Are those... drones?"

Ning Ruoxi blinked.

The points of light were, in fact, drones equipped with colorful lights, making them exceptionally striking against the pitch-black night sky.

The drones were constantly shifting formations high above, forming a pink heart. Then, several drones with red lights flew through the center of the heart, like Cupid’s arrow.

"BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!"

Suddenly, the sound of fireworks igniting erupted in the distance.

Brilliant fireworks bloomed across the sky, as if a master embroiderer were stitching colorful flowers onto a curtain of black velvet!

And in the center of the fireworks-filled sky, large characters spelled out: "Happy Birthday, Ning Ruoxi."

"Happy birthday, Mrs. Ye."

Ye Ling turned to Ning Ruoxi, a smile on his lips as he spoke softly.

He suddenly reached into his pocket and pressed a button on his car key.

The trunk of the Maybach popped open.

Inside, the trunk was filled with bouquets of fresh flowers, surrounded by colorful lights that created an incredibly romantic atmosphere.
