"Ah!"

Ning Ruoxi had been enjoying Ye Ling’s attention, but she yelped when his hand suddenly stopped moving. A burning sensation flared up on the back of her head.

She turned her head to see Ye Ling staring off into space with a silly smile on his face.

"Hey, silly, what are you daydreaming about?"

Ning Ruoxi shot him a reproachful glare. ’If you’re going to dry my hair, then do it properly. A few more times like this, and I’ll probably go bald.’

"I was just thinking about something happy."

Ye Ling snapped back to reality and gave a sheepish smile. "Alright, I’ll get back to drying your hair," he said.

"No, no, it’s fine. It’s pretty much dry."

Ning Ruoxi touched her hair, shook her head, and stood up. She looked at Ye Ling with a gentle smile.

"So, my dear husband," she began, "you helped dry my hair. How should I reward you?"

Ning Ruoxi licked her lips and wrapped her arms around Ye Ling’s neck.

"Uh..."

Ye Ling stared, momentarily stunned by this ’female rogue’ version of Ning Ruoxi.

’Is this little minx trying to seduce me again?’

"How about we go to the bedroom to discuss the details of this reward?"

Ye Ling casually tossed the hairdryer aside and wrapped his arm around Ning Ruoxi’s waist.

"Right here is fine."

But Ning Ruoxi shook her head, rose slightly onto her toes, and kissed him.

The scent of shampoo, mingled with Ning Ruoxi’s own unique fragrance, filled his senses. Ye Ling froze for a second before his hands moved on their own, pulling her into his embrace.

Looking at the little girl snuggled up in the blankets, Ye Ling couldn’t help but smile as he placed a soft kiss on her forehead.

"Sleep a little more, be good. I’m going to make breakfast now, okay?"
