That night, Ye Ling really did just hold Ning Ruoxi and sleep, doing nothing more.

Just then, Ye Ling pushed the door open and walked in. He was holding a ceramic bowl filled with white porridge that gave off a captivating aroma. "Now that you’re awake, come have some porridge."

"Did you get up early just to make this porridge?"

"I did."

Ye Ling smiled faintly and sat down on the edge of the bed. He picked up a small spoon, scooped up some porridge, and blew on it gently. Then, he tested the temperature with his own lips before, confident it was just right, bringing the spoon to Ning Ruoxi’s mouth.

"Your Highness, your porridge is served."

A faint smile played on Ye Ling’s lips.

Seeing this, Ning Ruoxi’s heart filled with sweetness. She took the entire spoonful in one go, a comforting warmth instantly spreading through her stomach.

It was only plain white porridge, but it was incredibly fragrant and sweet. For some reason, Ning Ruoxi felt it was the most delicious porridge she had ever tasted in her life.

"Stinker, you’re the best."

Ning Ruoxi gazed at Ye Ling, her eyes sparkling like little stars.

"Silly girl."

Ye Ling smiled back and continued to feed his little darling.

The bowl of porridge was finished in no time. Like a little kitten, Ning Ruoxi licked the corner of her mouth, not quite fully satisfied!

"Want more?"

Ye Ling asked with a faint smile.

"Mmm, I can’t eat another bite..."

Ning Ruoxi said, shaking her head as she patted her flat tummy.

Even though she did want more, she had already eaten far more porridge than she usually did for breakfast.

"Then you’d better get up. We still have to go to the amusement park today."

Ye Ling said with a small smile as he stood up.

At a little after nine, Ye Ling and Ning Ruoxi headed out.

The weather was beautiful, and since it had rained the previous night, the air was exceptionally fresh.

"Ruoruo, want to ride the carousel?"

Ye Ling asked, suddenly turning his head as he held Ning Ruoxi’s hand.

"No way, carousels are too boring."

Ning Ruoxi shook her head, then said with a burst of excitement, "Hey, how about we go on the roller coaster!?"

"The roller coaster?"

Ye Ling immediately raised an eyebrow.

Clearly, he hadn’t expected her to pick something so intense right off the bat.

"I want to go on it."

Ning Ruoxi said, pouting her lips.

In truth, given her usual courage, she would never have dared to go on such a thrilling ride. That was why, despite having been to the amusement park many times, she had never once been on a roller coaster.

But with Ye Ling by her side today... she was determined to challenge herself!

Ning Ruoxi shot Ye Ling a disdainful glance.

Moments after the ride started, Ning Ruoxi began to panic. Especially as they went through a huge turn, she found she could barely keep her eyes open.

"Ye Ling..."

Ning Ruoxi subconsciously grabbed onto Ye Ling, her eyes filled with a pitiful look of distress.

Small, pitiful, and helpless!

She never imagined a roller coaster could be this terrifying. If she’d known, she would have rather died than get on this thing!

"There, there, it’s okay."

Ye Ling smiled faintly, reached his arm around her, and pulled her into an embrace.

He wasn’t like one of those clueless guys who would choose that moment to tease her by saying, "But I thought you said you weren’t scared?"

Had he said something like that, well, he would have deserved to be single forever.

"There, there. It’s okay, I’m here. You don’t have to be scared..."

Ye Ling comforted her in a soft voice, holding her close.

The seats they were in were special "love seats," and it seemed they had been thoughtfully designed. The seats were slightly modified, allowing two people to hold each other tightly without any safety concerns.

And so, Ning Ruoxi spent the rest of the ride practically buried in Ye Ling’s embrace, her eyes squeezed shut, not daring to open them in the slightest.
