Born in apocalypse

After consulting on this matter some more, Dhruv decided it wasn’t worth taking this much stress on this topic further. It won’t achieve anything and like Pyra had mentioned, they would only have the opportunity to meet at Tier V evolution and talk everything through which was very far ahead of him.

There were far more important matters that needed his attention at the moment.

Looking at Alaric, Dhruv asked as a smile appeared on his face, "The spider boss’s corpse is secured with the dungeon core, right?"

Alaric nodded his head as he signaled toward Grec, who knew the rest of the information.

"Yes, master, the corpse is within our possession. The one you refer to as the old man is guarding it with his team in the dungeon. Do you want to see it, perhaps?"

"Yes! It’s time to awaken the sixth guardian." Dhruv nodded ready to let the sixth guardian roam the world.

The moment these words left his mouth, everyone’s face lit up. They were always ready to welcome new siblings... another guardian who would protect Dhruv from danger.

Observing their reaction, Dhruv thought about whether to let everyone meet their fifth guardian first or if should he introduce both of them together. After some thinking, he thought the latter seemed perfect.

Looking at his guardians, he asked, "So, how many of you want to come?"

To his surprise... or to not his surprise, everyone nodded. Everyone was eager to see the birth of the new guardian. They were eager but everyone had their own reasons to do so.

Alaric and Azarex wanted to judge how much strength the sixth guardian would possess. Vexar wanted to see whether the spider queen would be a worthy opponent to fight against or not.

Grec wanted to know whether she would be gullible like Vexar or not... and last but not least, Aurora wanted to see the process of rebirth with her own eyes. She wanted to see how the skill a god can possess works.

They had their individual desires... but collectively they all agreed it was worth watching the birth of their sibling.

"Let’s go then..." Saying these words, Dhruv got up from his chair and began moving toward the dungeon.

On their way to the crack, they met multiple people who were a bit surprised to see all of them together like that, but nobody dared to ask them.

After walking for a while, the group eventually reached the crack. Without thinking, all of them entered the crack. They experienced the blankness once again after which they reached the other side.

The moment Dhruv appeared inside the dungeon, he couldn’t help but be shocked by the appearance of it all. He had come here a very long time ago, but the change shouldn’t have been this drastic.

"What happened here..." Dhruv couldn’t help but blurt out.

’Grec, what have you done...’ he thought as he observed the surroundings. Previously, it looked like they had entered a cave, but now... now he was seeing rays of sunlight entering from the roof.

Instead of a roof, there was now a clear sky above the dungeon.

For whatever reason, Grec had cut a massive chunk out of the dungeon. It was so big that Dhruv suspected the rocks on the island weren’t all it. He understands most of it the goblin lord was keeping in his inventory.

Understanding his greedy nature, it wouldn’t be an understatement to say that he wouldn’t even give rocks to others.

"Sorry... master, it was my doing... I thought the dungeon was going to be destroyed anyway, so I did what I did. Is something wrong with it?" Grec apologized, observing the shocked expression of his master.

"No... no, it’s good. I was just shocked because of the change... there is nothing wrong with what you did... hmmm! If I’m honest I’m getting curious as to what is your plane... but let it be a surprise for the time being."

Nodding his head, all of them moved forward as Grec began to lead them toward the corpse. Soon enough, the silhouette of the old man and his team began to show in their vision.

Reaching there, Dhruv addressed the old man with a bit of sincerity, "Yo! Old man, how are you?"

"Good, my lord."

"Your grandchildren... and how are you guys?" Dhruv asked looking at others.

"We are good, my lord."

"They are good as well... Master I wanted to ask something?"

"Hmmm! I’m listening."

"Recently my grandkids reached Tier I and were about to evolve to Tier II, but I’ve stopped them, wanting to get your permission first. What do you say?"

The old man further explained how, after continuing to kill slimes, almost all the children on the island had maxed out Tier I and could evolve to Tier II at any given moment.

’The slime farm is really good. I have to think of a way to extend it even further,’ Dhruv thought as he looked at the old man.

"Hmmm! Tell Lyra to call everyone. I will address these things in an hour or two."

"As you wish, master."

Nodding his head, the old man gave the dungeon core to his lord and left the dungeon with his group. Dhruv waited until they were out of sight before taking a look at the corpse.

Taking a deep breath, he observed the corpse that was in front of him. Looking at the condition of the damage it had sustained, he wanted to add a few more spiders to compensate for the damage... but stopped.

After understanding how every creature in the cosmos is somewhat sapient, he didn’t want to force anyone else’s will upon them, no matter how small it might be.

This is even more true when the said party is someone close to him.

Moving toward the corpse, Dhruv placed the core on top of its abdomen and took a few steps back. Taking another look to make sure there was nothing wrong, Dhruv moved his hand forward and whispered,
