Born in apocalypse

After driving for a while, the truck reached the seabed where two of Azarex’s undead were standing there. Azarex had given them a simple command to stand there and notify him when anyone approached the boat. Due to the command not being that complex, Azarex could leave them there, and he could go with Dhruv.

After reaching the seabed, all the members got out of the trucks and began to form a line in front of Dhruv awaiting new orders.

Dhruv looked at the group and said, "You can go and board that boat under the guidance of Navi, while I will come back after filling the water for us." he didn’t give a clear order because he didn’t feel like there was a need for one.

Listening to his order, everyone nodded and began to follow Navi, who was ahead of everyone and was going toward the boat. While they were doing that, Dhruv turned around, and with the help of the trio, he began to search for any river from which he could fill the water.

All four of them scattered in different directions to speed up the process as fast as possible, and soon enough, they got the results as well.

Just after ten minutes of searching, Vexar had contacted Dhruv through the mark and notified him that there was a massive water source available at his location.

From Vexar’s description, Dhruv suspected that it wasn’t a river and could be a small or medium-sized lake. After getting the information he contacted Azarex and Alaric and told them to return to the boat.

After following the directions through the mark, he reached Vexar’s location in just five minutes. He could reach the location this fast because of running at his full speed, which wasn’t to scoff at either.

When he reached the location, he confirmed his suspicions and found that it indeed was a small lake. Dhruv even found some monsters drinking water from the lake, but they were on the opposite side of him, so nobody felt the need to attack each other.

If Dhruv had followed the original plan, then he would have needed to turn a large chunk of this lake into ice and then transport it to the island by boat. But after looting the gang, he found an item that was going to reduce his effort massively.

Dhruv approached the lake and withdrew an item from his ring, the item that came out was a wooden bucket which was often used in the medieval era. Dhruv placed the bucket in the river and began to feed his mana into it.

At first, the bucket was slowly filling itself and then filling... filling... still filling. The bucket was sucking all the water from the river like there was no tomorrow.

Looking at the phenomenon in front of him, Dhruv couldn’t help but remember its description once again.

A chuckle escaped his mouth when he remembered the description of the item, and why wouldn’t that be the case when this was the perfect item he could have asked for?

The more mana he poured into the bucket, the more greedily it sucked the water. Another thing Dhruv noticed was that the bucket wasn’t letting any other objects get sucked into itself, like leaves, small plastic, or even dead or alive fish. It looked like there was a filter in it, and it wouldn’t accept anything but water.

As the time reached the five-minute mark, the speed of water getting sucked became slower and slower with each passing moment, and after a few more seconds, it finally stopped.

Dhruv tried to pass the mana into the bucket one more time just in case, but still, there wasn’t any water going into the bucket. Dhruv pulled the bucket from the water and lifted it. As the enchantment had mentioned, there wasn’t an increase or decrease in weight before and after the water filling.

Dhruv tried to put the bucket in the ring, but to his disappointment, it refused to accept the bucket anymore. Dhruv had a feeling that this might have happened, so he wasn’t that shocked and began to move toward the boat.

"Master, let me carry that," Vexar quickly intercepted Dhruv and asked to carry the bucket himself.

"Okay!" Dhruv didn’t refuse either and let Vexar carry the bucket while he kept his sword. It took the duo another ten minutes to reach the boat.

At this moment, the world had already begun to plunge into darkness, and Dhruv knew that by the time he reached the island, it would be around 8 or 9 o’clock.

While he and Vexar were boarding the boat, they received a few curious gazes due to the water bucket, but nobody spoke up. After reaching the boat, Dhruv glanced around and found that everyone was there. So, he signaled Navi to start the boat. 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝐰𝚎𝕓𝐧𝚘𝘃𝗲𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝕞

Navi pulled the anchor of the boat and dropped its sail. The wind was once again in their favor, and their journey to the island began.

All the crew members got tense once again and began to look for any water monsters that could attack them. Their luck continued, and nobody tried to gobble them up that night.

After two hours of travel, the silhouette of the island finally began to come into view.
