Born in apocalypse

"What are you planning to do with them?" Thala asked with great curiosity. As the leader of the bodyguards as well as being a warrior himself, he was well-versed in fighting, and anything related to it instantly piqued his interest greatly.

Listening to Thala’s question, Dhruv turned to face him and said, "To make coins, we have to create a farm, and that will make coins after killing the slimes. And to produce the maximum amount from that farm, we have to first make the group stronger so they can handle more output..."

Dhruv paused and allowed everyone to digest what he was talking about. Although Lyra and the elder had many questions about what Dhruv was saying they remained silent and let him finish first.

"...And that’s why I want you, Thala, to train them so we can harness their full potential. You and the tribe could handle the physical department, while I would take care to improve their magic department. Okay!" Dhruv finally paused and waited to see if anyone had any questions.

Before Thala could agree or even disagree, the elder of the tribe voiced a question, "My lord, how are we going to create that farm of yours if we don’t have any slimes at the moment?"

Listening to her question, Dhruv signaled to Alaric. Alaric understood and brought out a slime monster from his shadow, allowing everyone to examine it carefully.

"Ohh! What a weird creature..." the elder said out loud as she examined the weird jelly-like monster.

"This monster has the capability to divide itself after consuming another monster or even the divided part of itself. I don’t think it can recycle its own body infinitely, but at least we could use it until the start of the third quest," Dhruv explained everything he knew about the monster.

When Dhruv had explained everything Thala quickly agreed about training the newcomers.

When that was done, they began to discuss how to create this farm and where to make it. They ultimately decided to use a cell part of the prison for the farm. After combining two cells, they would place the slimes in there. Then, they would make a hole so that the tiny slimes could come out, and their hunters could hunt them.

Dhruv planned to use at least five of this type of farm with fifty slimes in each of them, but at the moment, he couldn’t do that because he didn’t have a source of food for them. Forget about slimes; he hadn’t consumed anything with essence for the past two days, except for the bears he had hunted. This resulted in his mutation being stagnated.

Dhruv couldn’t help but wish for the third quest to start as soon as possible...

Everything went smoothly in the meeting, and a few more minutes later, Dhruv ended the meeting and allowed everyone to go to sleep. After giving the order, he himself stood up and began to move toward the sea.

His pure white hair fluttered as he looked at the sea, trying to see the faraway place from which he had just returned.

Alaric emerged from the shadow and stood beside him. He lifted his hand and placed it on Dhruv’s hand, transferring all the coins. He hadn’t done this of his own volition; no, Dhruv had just ordered him to do that.

Along with that order, there was another one...

Alaric understood the order, looked at his master, and bowed. Then he once again disappeared into the darkness of the night.

After disappearing, he went to Azarex first and handed over everything he had. He dropped the slimes in the ruins of the prison after locating an area that was enclosed from all four sides.

After doing that, he disappeared only to reappear from the shadow of a tree on the shore of the sea. This wasn’t the shore of the island; no, this was the shore belonging to the mainland.

Dhruv stood on the shore for a few more minutes before walking toward his bed. He quietly climbed onto it and then closed his eyes to have a peaceful sleep.

One after another, many dreams passed before he was forced to wake up from the light of the dear sun. He got out of the bed and looked around. As he looked around, he was surprised to find out that almost everyone had already begun their work.

With the help of Azarex’s undead, the tribe was cautiously clearing the remains of the prison. All the broken or worthless pieces were collected in one place, preventing littering the whole island.

Dhruv turned around and saw that Thala had started taking his order seriously and was training the newcomers. Among the newcomers were also some tribe members who wanted to learn from the best.

He began to walk toward Thala to listen to the lesson as well, as he wasn’t that well-versed in the melee department. The closer he got, the more he began to hear what Thala was saying...

"...In battle, it is very essential to control your breathing at all times, don’t let it break the rhythm for even a second. Got it," Thala announced as he looked at everyone.

At that moment, Thala noticed Dhruv’s arrival and he bowed but didn’t stop his teaching, continuing on.

"The third point is that you should always try to maintain distance, No... the right distance from your opponent. You should know when to attack and when to fall back, keeping the right distance from your opponent is very important," Thala continued.

"Although this isn’t going to be important against monsters, always try to read their attack pattern and find an opening in them.
