"There’s no way you didn’t collect *any* medicine on your way here, right?"

Song You’ai stared at the woman as if she’d just seen the most bizarre thing in her life. She almost laughed in exasperation at her entitled tone!

’Is there something wrong with her head?’

’They were complete strangers, yet the moment she opened her mouth, she was demanding medicine with such entitlement?’

"We really didn’t have time to collect any medicine," Song You’ai snapped.

"Impossible." The short-haired woman’s expression turned angry. "How can you be like this? You won’t even do a small favor? That’s outrageous!"

Something clicked in Xie Ning’s mind.

Seeing Xie Ning’s group leave without a backward glance, the director frowned and turned to Chen Jiajia’s father. "Chen, what do you think we should do now?"

"If they could get in from the outside so easily, then getting out now must be simple," Chen Chong said after a moment of thought. "Director Shen, it looks like we can’t stay here for long."

"Dad, isn’t it dangerous outside? I thought you said we should just stay here and wait for rescue," the girl in the blue and white tracksuit pouted. "I don’t want to kill those disgusting things. I can’t do it."

Chen Chong stroked his daughter’s head and explained patiently, "Before, the water supply wasn’t an issue, so waiting a few more days for rescue was an option. But now we don’t even have water. The problems will only get worse if we stay. We have to leave immediately and find a safer place to wait for rescue."

Chen Jiajia bit her lip. "Dad, do you think they’ll really find that Song Shijun guy?"

"I don’t think it’s likely."

"And what good would it do even if they found him?" Chen Chong muttered vaguely, pulling his daughter toward the exit.
