"Looks like that cousin of yours has wanted to be a little emperor since he was a kid." Xie Ning smiled, retracting her long blade.

The instant Xiao Huang Mao breathed a sigh of relief, a sharp metal spike shot out from between her fingers again, piercing his thumb.

"AHHHH!" Xiao Huang Mao felt like he was going to be driven insane by the young woman in front of him!

This girl’s spikes were far too aggressive. They appeared out of nowhere, making them impossible to guard against.

"Listen up. Go back and tell that cousin of yours that we’re not handing over a single grain of rice." Xie Ning patted Xiao Huang Mao’s swollen cheek with her long blade, a faint smile on her face.

"Also, tell him he has one hour to bring a carload of supplies here to pick up his men."

"For every hour he’s late, I’ll send him a finger as a little welcoming gift. I’ll keep doing it until he shows up." Xie Ning kicked one of the sobbing young men hard and said slowly in a soft voice, "Shut up. What’s a grown man like you crying for?"

"Huang! Huang, save us! Huang! Huang!"

Xiao Huang Mao scrambled to his feet, nodding vigorously. "I will, I will! I’ll be sure to get your message to him."

"I just implanted metal fragments in your finger." Xie Ning glanced coldly at Xiao Huang Mao. "If I don’t take them out, you’ll never be able to get them out yourself. The metal fragments will travel through your bloodstream, all the way to your head."

Xie Ning tapped her own head and made an explosive gesture with her fingers. "BOOM!"

Hearing this, Xiao Huang Mao was so scared he dropped to the ground, practically kowtowing as he begged, "Miss, please, spare me, miss!"

"So what are you going to do?"

"I... I’ll definitely have my co-cousin bring the supplies over. I’ll never dare to bother you or your family again."

Xie Ning nodded slightly. "I do love discussing things with reasonable, obedient people. It’s so much more pleasant."

"Go on." Xie Ning glanced at him. "Remember, you only have one hour."

Xiao Huang Mao swallowed hard. Fighting the urge to bolt for the door, he couldn’t stop himself from asking in a small voice, "M-may I ask... is your superpower a ’Mutant Hedgehog’ superpower?"

Xie Ning glanced at Xiao Huang Mao, her expression blank. "You really want to know?"
