Alpha's Regret: Claiming My Stolen Twins

Julian’s POV

Julian sat hunched over his desk in the study, scrolling through intelligence reports about Dorian’s whereabouts when Maxwell burst through the door. The man looked like death itself was chasing him, his chest heaving as he struggled to catch his breath.

Every instinct in Julian’s body fired to life. He had doubled security measures, but Dorian still had allies lurking in the shadows. Anything could happen at any moment.

"My pack," Maxwell gasped between ragged breaths. "They’re under attack."

Before Julian could even process the words fully, Maxwell had already disappeared back through the door.

A deadly calm washed over Julian’s mind. This was the moment he had been preparing for. The moment Dorian would make his next move.

He immediately opened his mind link to Caleb. "Get our warriors mobilized now. The Solstice Fang is being attacked. Send two hundred and fifty of our strongest fighters to assist them. Time is critical."

"Copy that, Alpha. They’ll be ready within minutes," Caleb’s steady voice came back through the link.

Julian’s next destination was his children’s bedroom. The door opened with a soft creak, revealing the gentle glow of their nightlight. His two precious pups lay sleeping peacefully in their beds, completely unaware of the danger surrounding them. The sight sent a sharp ache through his chest, the kind of pain only a parent could understand.

He knelt between their beds, his hand moving gently through his daughter’s hair before touching his son’s cheek.

"My brave little warriors," he whispered, his voice heavy with emotion. Their eyes opened slowly, filled with sleepy confusion. "I love you both more than every star in the universe."

Their tiny hands reached toward him, their faces filled with complete trust. "Love you too, Daddy," his daughter mumbled before her eyes began to close again. His son wrapped his small arms around Julian’s neck in a tight embrace.

Julian held them both close, trying to burn this moment into his memory. Their warmth, their innocent scent, the way they felt safe in his arms. This was everything he was fighting to protect. This was his reason for being strong.

Leaving them was agony. He took one final look at their peaceful faces before quietly closing the door and rushing through the silent house.

He opened another mind link, this time to his father. "I need you to stay here. Guard the children with everything you have."

"I understand completely, son. They will be protected. Go handle what needs to be done," his father’s calm but determined voice replied.

Next, he connected with Holden, their head warrior. "Listen carefully. This could be a setup. Dorian might have planted people here, waiting to strike our pack while our forces are away. Keep every single wolf on high alert. Triple the patrol routes. Anyone who seems suspicious, take them down without hesitation. Our pack’s safety is everything."

"Understood, Alpha. We’re prepared for any scenario," Holden’s grim but confident voice assured him.

Finally, Julian pulled out his phone and dialed the Alpha King. The call was answered immediately.

"I’m ready," the Alpha King’s voice was low and serious.

"Good. Meet me at our designated coordinates. Move immediately."

The line went dead. Julian took a deep breath, his mind racing. Dorian thought he was unpredictable, but Julian had anticipated this exact scenario. He knew Dorian would target their closest allies, like the Solstice Fang, or even attempt a direct assault on Julian’s territory.

What Dorian didn’t realize was that Julian had been preparing for this moment for weeks. Every contingency had been planned. Every possibility had been considered.

He stepped outside into the crisp night air. The pack territory was eerily quiet, but he could feel the tension crackling through the atmosphere like electricity. Beneath that tension, however, was an unshakeable resolve.

Julian shifted into his massive wolf form, his muscles coiling with power as he began to run. The wind whipped past him as he covered ground at incredible speed.

Hours into his journey, his mind link crackled to life. It was Caleb.

"Alpha, we reached them in time. We managed to push the attackers back. But there were some casualties."

Relief flooded through Julian, immediately followed by a wave of grief. Casualties meant pack members had died. Every life lost was a wound that would never fully heal. But at least they had saved more lives than they had lost.

He pushed himself harder, reaching the meeting coordinates shortly after. The Alpha King was already waiting, his enormous black wolf standing like a monument in the darkness, his eyes burning with ancient power. He shifted back to human form as Julian approached, his expression stone-cold serious.

"Are you ready for what comes next?" the Alpha King asked, his voice carrying the weight of centuries.

Julian thought about the conversation they had shared days ago, before Dorian had even taken Seraphina. He had told the Alpha King that he wasn’t willing to sacrifice innocent lives to get to Dorian. But now everything had changed. Now he would do absolutely anything necessary to keep his family safe, even if it meant becoming the very thing he once despised.

He met the Alpha King’s intense gaze, his resolve harder than steel. "Yes. I’m ready."

"Then we move now."

They both shifted back into their wolf forms, two powerful alphas united in purpose. They ran together through the darkness, a silent and deadly force, until they reached a hidden camp positioned near Dorian’s pack territory. The air felt thick and oppressive, heavy with the promise of violence.

The Royal Beta approached them, bowing his head respectfully before shifting back to human form. His expression was grim.

"Any trace of Dorian?" the Alpha King growled, his voice carrying danger even in human form.

"Yes, my King. His scent is concentrated within the pack lands. He’s definitely there."

Julian’s heart pounded against his ribs. "What about Seraphina? Have you detected any sign of her?"

The Royal Beta shook his head grimly. "No, Alpha. No sign of Seraphina anywhere."

Julian’s stomach plummeted. He could only hope she was alive and unharmed, because everything he was about to do was for her. At least the mate bond was still intact, which meant she was still breathing somewhere.

"It’s time," the Alpha King declared, his gaze fixed on Dorian’s dark territory.

They launched their attack with devastating force. Dorian’s pack seemed completely caught off guard, which confirmed Julian’s strategic timing. Dorian had been so focused on attacking the Solstice Fang that he had left his own territory vulnerable.

They tore through Dorian’s outer defenses like paper. The night filled with the sounds of brutal warfare: growls, snarls, the tearing of flesh, and howls of pain and rage. They pushed deeper into Dorian’s territory, crushing the first line of defense, then the second. Their forces searched every corner, every shadow, every cluster of wolves, hunting for Dorian with relentless determination.

But as they fought through the chaos, ripping apart his most loyal followers, a cold realization began to settle over them like ice.

Dorian was nowhere to be found.

And neither was Seraphina.
