THE RISE OF AN OMEGA

I quickly rushed to cover my mouth with my hand immediately the words came out of my mouth.

I saw Alpha Asher's mouth curled into a wicked sneer as he held my gaze.

I quickly averted my eyes as my heart began to beat faster.

"Do you think you are worthy of being my mate?" He asked sarcastically.

I knew he was mocking me and I could not stop the ache in my heart.

"You will never, ever be my mate!" He spat the words out in disgust.

I knew I didn't have a wolf yet so I wondered how I could recognize him as my mate and how I could feel the searing pain that comes with being rejected.

It was like a thousand needles were being pierced into my body at the same time and I had to gasp for breath so as not to fall down under the weight of the pain.

I forced myself to look at him in the eyes.

"Alpha Asher I...." I tried to speak but he cut me off.

"Get out!" He ordered. "Get out of my sight and I do not want to ever see you in my room again!" He shouted.

I quickly scrambled to my feet and ran out of the room with tears running down my eyes.

True to his words, Alpha Asher ordered Madam Nova not to send me to him room again and only I knew the reason why he said that.

When Aria heard of it, she called me to question me.

She asked me what i did that offended Asher, to the extent that he asked that I never serve him anymore

I was at loss for what to say. I knew that since she was asking me, Alpha Asher had refused to tell her so I knew that I had no right to tell her also.

"I do not know ma." I answered trembling.

I was still weak from the pain of rejection so I barely had the strength to stand.

"You take me for a fool right! If you don't know, who else would know?" She demanded.

"Then you can ask Alpha Asher yourself!" I blurted out.

We were both taken aback by my sudden boldness. I also did not know where I got the boldness from but I knew that I was already tired of everything and right now Miss Aria's questions were the least of my worries.

She seem to recover herself quickly and she sneered at me.

"It seems like you have a death wish! Well, since I'm feeling generous, I will gladly grant you that wish!" She said.

She called the guards and ordered them to wipe me till I lost consciousness.

It was a day after all the maidens were having the final preparations for Alpha Asher's party the next day. When Madam Nova gathered us all together

She observed the curiosity in our faces before finallyvtelling us that she had an information to pass across to us.

"He ordered that all maids and servants be present at his birthday party. In his words, 'I recognize even those without powers and so the maids also are invited to my birthday party even the omega without an ancestral lineage.' He ordered that everyone of you must be there as he has invited other people for other packs too and he also has a special announcement . Thank you" She said as she left the room.

The other maid all squealed in excitement. I could understand their happing for it was like a dream come through but not for me.

Different thoughts ran through my mind and I could not help but wonder Alpha Asher had in mind.

What was this hospitality from Alpha Asher? If everyone was invited I expected I would never be one of them as I was often excluded from pack gathering even before I became a maid. Was could he want to say that required even my presence?.

The day finally came , Alpha Asher was greeted with a happy birthday sign and the wildest of smiles from all maids and slaves. He said it was a day to be merry and to celebrate.

I've never seen Alpha Asher look so handsome. His clothes were perfect and looked so good on him , Aria his mistress also looked astonishing.

The maids and slaves were given a particular uniform to where to distinguish them from normal wolves in the pack.

The party started off nicely, there was an opening speech by his friend . After that we served food and drinks to everyone who was present. The party was going to well

He stood on the podium. He started by greeting and welcoming everybody before making his grand announcement

"I have a very special announcement to make and I'd like everyone to be attentive." He said

What was this announcement he had ? One that kept the whole pack on their paws.

"I want to let the whole pack and everyone know that I have finally found my Luna. I sensed my mate and I am going to make her my luna." He said with a smirk on his face.

What was this he saying? I can't be his Luna. I'm a weak Omega with no ancestral lineage, a total bastard. What was the pack going to think of this.

"Kira the weak omega is my mate , I sensed it." He announced suddenly taking us all by surprise.

The entire gathering gasped in shock as they casted disgusting glances my way. I could see Aria giving me the death stare and I trembled.

'Why had he decided to humiliate me like this?'

He went ahead to tell everyone that he couldn't allow it, he couldn't accept me as his mate, saying I had no powers no parents no ancestral background.

He even went ahead to question my ruling capability, saying I was lucky to even make it as a maid. He said all this laughing hysterically. I knew what he was going to say next, but I shut stood, mute, battling with rejection pains.

"My mistress and childhood friend Aria is going to be my Luna and nothing is going to change that!" He said.
